OOC: Reunion - (Redo)

Well, hi! A while ago, many months ago, actually, I got this thread started and then disappeared from Lit for many months. I'm back now, and I've been thinking about this thread for a while.

Basically, a group used to be the best of friends in high school, and now, one of them wants to bring them all together. I'm going for something a bit cliche here, though. All of the characters fit (at least in high school) a stereotype. For example, mine, Juliet, was (in high school), and still is, a hippie. There's wiggle room for the types of stereotypes, if the one you want isn't listed, let me know and we'll see if we can work something out! Some spots are reserved for their previous owners, such as the very lovely yeishia as the flirt and the ever witty kittenofdeath as the delinquent.

Please don't post until I give the go-ahead, I wanna get everything up first.

P.S. If you can't seem to post more than two sentences a post, don't bother joining up. Same goes for those of you who can't spell, use grammar correctly, or like to start shit just for the heck of it.

She stood at 4'2" tall. She was lean with an average bust (32C). When she graduated, she only had two ear piercings per ear, two in each earlobe.

She's the same height, 4'2" tall. Her body has more of an athletic build, however, and she has another piercing in her left ear, a helix piercing. It's an upper cartilage piercing and she generally wears a lime green hoop in it. She also has a tattoo. Long story short, she got drunk and woke up with a tattoo of a dragon leading from the upper inside of her right thigh, to peaking just out of her bikini line. She liked it, and decided to not have it surgically removed.
Personality, then: She was fun, quirky and smart. Well, fun, to a degree. She followed the law to the letter, had very high morals and a strict code of ethics. She, therefore, had always tended to but heads with Arthur and Alan, seeing as the two had less of a respect for other people, in her opinion. She loved to wear tie-dye and dress like everyone's stereotypical hippie. It amused her to no end when she'd hear someone walk by and comment on her look, however her look was never revealing. Always covered her shoulders, her skirts and shorts always reached her knees, her stomach never showed, and she didn't give people glimpses of cleavage. She'd been asked a few times whether she smoked illegal substances, and her answer had always been no, seeing as it was not only illegal, but bad for the environment. She was the one that knew all about the earth, the world, the ecosystem, nature, and current genocide, you know, your typical hippie stuff. She excelled at the sciences and was a major member of the school's debate team, and a pretty big part of the mock trial team.

Personality, now: She's still the same fun, quirky, smart, passionate girl that she used to be, but now she has money to back things up. She's quite sarcastic, though she doesn't mean it in a mean way. It's just a part of her. She still loves tie-dye and jeans, but every once in a while she'll wear something different. She's also learned to relax. She owns more bikinis than one pieces, now, and many articles of clothing break at least one of her rules back in high school. Though her ethics, morals and law abiding tendencies still remain, she doesn't feel as much of a need to impose her beliefs of others.
Other: She's been on the news quite a few times; state, national, and even international. She has her own line of environment friendly clothing, make-up, hair products, and even shoes. She's not married, but she's since lost her virginity. She went to law school for a few years, but she dropped out, deciding that law wasn't going to be what helped her reach her goals. She actually owns the island that everyone's flying to, deciding that the best way to keep it safe was to purchase it. It's home to numerous species, endangered and not. The island is part of the U.S.'s territory, but it's on few maps, being so minuscule compared to everything else. It's approximately 20 acres, though it's not a perfect shape, it's smaller and larger in some areas, like any island. It’s off the coast of Florida.

Looks, in highschool: much the same as he is now, but with shorter hair and without the glasses

Personality, then: At first glance, Alan seemed rather plain and unassuming, but as soon as he interacted with anything his true colours shone through, he was a brash and sarcastic jerk to most people, mainly because that’s what they treated him like, if there was one thing he couldn’t stand (there were actually quite a few, but that’s neither here nor there) then it was people who thought they were superior to him, or inferior for that matter, in his mind everyone was on equal footing in the grand scheme of things.

His title of a delinquent was well earned though, authority figures tended to think they were better than him, so he always saw it necessary to show them exactly what he thought of their authority, pranks, vandalism, petty theft, the list goes on and on.

Though as long as you didn’t act in a way that offended him, or if you just amused him, he was pretty nice, always there to crack a joke or lend a hand if you need it, but never afraid to slap you silly if you deserve it.

Personality, now: Still has problems with people who feel superior, and authority figures, but thankfully he’s learned to shut the hell up in the presence of the latter if the situation calls for it. All in all life has been a rather sobering experience for him, but he still hold unwaveringly true to his principals, its just a shame there’s very few who share them.

Other: After school when everyone went their separate ways, Alan didn’t have much to do, his friends were practically the only thing keeping him remotely close to the straight and narrow and without them, he quickly let his bad behaviour turn in to criminal behaviour. It wasn’t long before he had a few brushes with the long arm of the law, all minor things, resulting in fines and community service, but after a while they grew sick of his actions and put him in jail for 6 months.

Prison was tough, but in a way, it helped lead him to his future job, Alan didn’t want to get in to any fights, not that he couldn’t handle it, but if he did he would be in longer than he already had to be, so he had to find a different way to keep people on his good side. It was by accident that he found it, he had always been good at drawing, not quite as good as his old friend Arthur, but as far as drawing women in compromising positions went, he was a master, and when you have no access to the real thing, a good fake is just as nice to have.
After 6 months inside, Alan walked free, it was nice, but it wasn’t long before he was in trouble again, financial problems, it was hard making a living when you’ve been in jail for the past 6 months. It seemed like a bad idea at the time, but he was desperate, Alan sent a few of his better drawing out to various companies, some were honest places that made cartoons or comics, but the only ones he heard back from were the kinds that own magazines that you can’t buy until you’re 18. It took a while, but eventually his work got picked up by a web based company and people all over the world were beating their meat to his work, he even got to write a few comic strips in playboy once, it wasn’t glamorous, but it kept him fed.

Personality, then: In school Extroverted Introvert very few got to know the real Tiffany!
Personality, now: The introvert is pretty much buried under years of theater training!



Tiffany had been the consummate flirt in high school the stereotypical popular girl, cheerleader, and blond leggy. She only fell out of the mode in one way; her choice of personal friends, none of whom were on the A list, some not on any list at all.

After school she had traveled to Canada to attend The Montreal School of the performing Arts much to the chagrin of her parents who pretty much cut her off. She had survived a grueling 4 years of intense performance studies in between which she had attended dance classes and worked her butt off; waitress, hostess and even for a while pole dancer to pay her fees and survive

Now here she was almost 22 years old, her small trust fund had kicked in and she could finally breathe and decide her next step; probably onto New York or California she was thinking …..

Then she received the letter from an old friend, “Jules’ was inviting her to a reunion on some private Island no less! It had been 5 long years Tiffany was still a flirt , it got you a long way in the performance business but there was a more serious underlay to her character now a much harder edge if she choose to show it!

Tiffany had an embarrassing little secret of her own, she was still a virgin; that alone would make her old friends laugh their asses off if they believed her at all she thought!

Perfect she would go…. maybe one of her old friends would help her small problem go away? and what a better way to loose it than to a trusted friend from her past!

Her virginity would be a definite hindrance on her chosen career path!

Looks, in high school: Description's the best I can do. He was about 5'8 tall with the pastiest, whitest skin imaginable, often peppered with acne and what not. He wore a pair of very thick glasses, coke bottle as they were called, without them he was blind. Dark,greasy hair that almost seemed like he never watched (Which he did, don't think he didn't!), always wore a pair of baggy jeans and hoodie, feeling ashamed of his thin, stick limbs and not wanting anyone to see them. Bright green eyes.

Personality, then: Alex is pretty much the most stereotypical a nerd you can be. Always willing to please people and ALWAYS an over acheiver and wasn't exactly the most popular in the school. Always got straight A's on his tests, and of course was the brains of the operation between him and his best friends in all of high school.

Personality, now: He's still pretty much the same, still an over acheiver but has learned over the years that "taking it easy" MAY be a good thing every now and again. His hard work and smarts HAVE gotten him places over the years, especially up the ladder of a particularly sucessful computer company that quickly reaches up the CEO of the entire corperation. Basically, he's the same as he was before, just mildly more sucessful and took his friends advice that not everything needs to be perfect and right to be happy. However...some experiences are easier said than done.

Looks~high school The same as now; only without the lip piercing and shorter hair. Stood a little over 5'2" and kept an average body weight of 120, mostly muscle. Her measurements were~34C-22-33
Looks~now Height settled at 5'3", weight up to about 125. Measurements have changed a bit~now 34D-24-34. Still pretty well toned.

Personality then Loud, rambunctious, tom boyish. One of the few girls who loved the whole skate lifestyle and could give a rip about whether or not the boys wanted her to tag a long. An adamant feminist. Never an apologist, she went through the day and dared anyone to disrespect her.
Personality now She has lost a bit of the tom boy mystique but is still rather loud. She wears clothing that makes her appear a few years younger than she is, since those are the styles that still appeal to her. Still very involved in feminism, though she has toned down the lectures!
Other Went to school for two years and studied Art/Woman's Studies and became actively involved with GLBT community. Has since worked her way up as a graphic/print designer for a well known feminist quarterly. Has money to spend on what she loves and is comfortable. Donates time and money to specific causes~AIDS, Diabetes and Leukemia research. Also a quietly active Wiccan.

Looks, in highschool: 5'7", that hair is totally dyed.
Looks, now: 5'11". That hair isn't dyed.
Personality, then: A bit shy about his real self he put up a bit of a mask in the form of hair dyed purple with grape kool'aid, and intense clothing. In all honesty he's always been a gentle and calm soul, but with trouble at home during his high school years he felt like his life was spiraling out of control. He joined the photography club and participated in as many art programs as he could, in the hopes that he'd be able to both express himself, and create something that would help him fill the gaps created by the chaos of his life.
He acted out with practical jokes and said funny things that not everyone thought was funny in the hopes that people would like him, and remember him later. He almost always had a smile on his lips and started developing a particular talent for being able to weave jokes out of most situations.
Personality, now: After realizing that all of the craziness that he had done in highschool was really just a phase, his outwards appearance calmed down quite a bit to reflect who he was on the inside. He enjoys creating things and doing things with his hands. He has still retained his ability to make jokes, though with his age it has evolved from silly childish jokes to the intense ability to weave sexual innuendo out of almost anything, a talent that he openly broadcasts everywhere he goes. While his jokes these days are less practical things (like putting a woopie cushion where someone's going to sit), he still retains his ability to design intricate practical jokes should the need arise. He still strives to attain attention, but now it has become more from what he can do than what he looks like. Conversations about his parents are taboo, and because they are, no one knows why.
Other: He does artwork for a little known webcomic hidden in the depths of the internet, but when he isn't doing that he tends to do sculpture work. Lately a lot of his work has focused on pieces that move and sway in different directions (example, the wings that are hanging behind him in the picture of what he looks like now). Often the art is rather abstract, which he thinks is the greatest practical joke of all, since he's the only one that will ever know what such pieces are meant to represent.
