So, It has been quite some time since I walked these halls, but I thought maybe some of you may remember me. Some may even remember me fondly.

I can't find my old night shift thread, so I thought I might start a new one.

Stop in and say 'hi' if you like. Share a random thought or observation. Share a deep thought or observation. Share a naughty thought or observation.

Or just share some good music. Back on the Air, loyal listeners.

Now we can really get this thread moving. :)

So how about those Lakers! Awesome huh?

Just seeing this one too Needfull.

I see the old one was found.

Do you plan to keep one, the other, or both?

Ok. I'll give it another shot.

Thought for the day;

I'm sure you've heard it before, even said it yourself. There are two kinds of people in the world, blah, blah, blah.

I never thought I would hear myself put it quite this way, but I have begun to think that in the end, there really are only two kinds of people.

Those who long for change, wanting the world to be better than it is, wanting a place to belong, seeking a better life for themselves.

Or Those who are happy with things just as they are and in fact fear change.

People want change when they feel the lack of fulfillment. Those who have all or even most of their needs being met, like things just fine as they are.

Which are you?

I fear change but at the moment I'm very fulfilled in my life so a change isn't needed. Make sense at all? :)

I'm sitting here thinking about this feeling we all search after. It's not love, at least not to begin with. I'm not sure I believe in love at first sight, or first contact.

Love takes time. Lust is immediate. But its not just lust either, we can be in lust with every pretty face in every magazine. It's more a matter of...connection.

I've spoken of it before. Just the act of being noticed by someone and noticing them. Learning about each other and forming emotional bonds. We all long for that experience and search for it. Even if we tell ourselves its hopeless and to stop looking, to give up and move to a cave somewhere.

I hate the need in me. But I guess it all comes down to being needed.

This is for those of you out there who have found some measure of connection.
You know how lucky you are.

I like change. I find it fulfilling and challenging at the same time.

Learning new things, growing. To me, that is what life is all about.

Is it a feeling of intimacy that you are talking about?

Is it a feeling of intimacy that you are talking about?

In a way, yes. Its about noticing someone beyond the surface and being noticed in turn. Have you ever just been struck with how someone sounds, or looks, or expresses themselves and wanted to know more?

Its that connection I am talking about. Going beyond the surface.

Yes I understand what you mean.

I got to go for a while folks, but what I would like for anyone who is reading and willing; Share with us a story about a time you made an unexpected, but beautiful connection with another person. It doesn't have to be romantic, or even long lasting.

Just tell me about a time you touched someones soul.

Thanks!

I would tell you a story, but its been too long since I had that kind of connection.

Back from page 5.

Thought for the day; A while back, a few friends were discussing sex and marriage and the debate came up over which they would prefer, sex or a sandwich. I found myself quietly pondering this and to my own surprise I genuinely would prefer the sandwich! I think that means it's been too long.

I was perusing the boards today and looked in on several threads. I like to check on the Dear Litster, Dear X, Rate this Avatar and several others. I notice a lot of angry, sad messages in the Dear threads. Must be a whole lotta somethin goin on behind the scenes here. Nothing new I guess.

Well folks, anybody who is reading, thanks. The day is coming at me like a freight train. In honor of that, here is some Metallica-No Leaf Clover

I can understand wanting the sandwich. How many people were involved in the discussion and how many wanted the sandwich?

About four or five guys, half of them married. And I was the only one who wanted the sammich!l

Wow, i feel for you then man, cause no matter how long it has been for me...i am never picking the sandwhich, even if it has extra cheese :)

I'm not much for sammiches, so..............................:devil::devil:

Evil, naughty, woman.

Dude its been so long I don't even remember what its like to make out anymore.
The sandwich is more recent and if made properly, a good sandwich and a nice nap are about the most pleasurable part of my day.
