I've got a few stories waiting for approval, some of which have been waiting for over a week now it seems. Anyone else experiencing unusually long delays before story approvals?

My last couple of stories posted in four days. They were 1 and 3 Lit pages long.

Pretty much on a three-day posting schedule here for me for the last couple of years. One went four days in mid May. Other than that, no longer delays than that.

New writers usually take longer and if there are any questions, they may take a second reading. it says three to seven days but it may take longer.

did you submit via attachment or pasted straight in the submission form? Attachments take longer.

And I agree, my last story was up on 4th day.

I've already got a half dozen stories published. I cut and paste, no attachments. Strange, thanks everyone.

Cut and paste is machine read and if it kicks it out for any reason, then it has to be hand read. Takes longer if the machine thinks it has found a problem. Faster if there are no problems.

May or may not be relevant: Every time you open your story by clicking the pending/preview link it can get sent to the end of the submissions queue to start over as if you had made a change to it.

Submitting multiple stories as a new author might also be slowing down the approval process -- essentially getting every story in that batch being treated as your first story and getting the closer scrutiny new authors always get.
