The Republican Party, and worse yet, the Tea Party, are nutcases. Vote for them and you will sorely regret what they do to this country... just as we are regretting the disastrous economy that they gave us as a result of 6 years of Republican domination of Congress.

So...How's that hopey-changey thing working out for ya?

So glad he fixed that health care problem. Only a democrat could think universal health care means simply telling people, "you must be insured/buy insurance or pay a fine" and then pat themselves on the back for a job well done.

Wrong. "Only a Democrat" is factually in error. The idea of mandatory insurance originally came from Mitt Romney, the former Republican Governor of Massachusetts, who forced that law upon his constituents.

The mandatory insurance law does suck. And we need a single payer plan like every other civilized nation has, and whose citizens are loathe to get rid of. Lots of people are going to be skirting that law, and even Democrats may be forced by their own constituents to scrap it in favor of an already existing Medicare-for-All bill sitting in Congress right now.

I"d rather have the racists than the idiots at this point. We somehow managed to take a bad Health Care system and make it worse. Which shouldn't have been possible. Europe and Canada are filled with "how to" guides and we had to fuck it up.

Ask Europe and Canada how that great system is working out these days.

Why do we keep bringing up that their systems are crumblign when ours is too? That's one of the huge issues each year is how we aren't going to be able to afford our systems in a few years. And every European system costs less than hours no matter how you slice it.

Basically you're arguing that we shouldn't by a Volkswagon because gas prices are too high and our Hummer is just fine.

If that Volkswagon was still running I would agree. But its not. It is an unaffordable system and it is crumbling.

The Hummer's not running either! That's why we keep fucking with everything! That's why we are constantly going back to support Medicare.

Hell it costs less to rebuild a goddamn VW from scratch than to put gas in a Hummer for a month anyhow!

Then rebuild it. But right now the damn thing is broke and mama didn't make no tips last night.

Then how are you feeding the beast? You are aware of the undeniable fact that we pay nearly twice as much, our government, not invidual payers, as any other nation for Health Care right?

If mama didn't make no tips I gotta ask who's cock is she sucking for gas money.

No. I'm unaware. Explain.

Says Greece, Says UK, Says Canada. All are cutting back on their social programs.

Incomparable, for one.

The USA makes all of those COMBINED still look tiny.

Next, your assertion is basically without merit.

You equate a global recession as a failure of human services.

This is not only disingenuous on it's face, but laziness in logic, in my opinion, since you started giving them. (opinions, that is)

Oh c'mon. All of this arguing is opinion based on facts that we choose to accept. You want to call me lazy, fine. That is the nicest thing said about me today. My assertion is that social programs, regardless of the best intentions they may have, are unaffordable. That is happening before our eyes.

I wouldn't be pissed off if every thing I've ever read keeps coming back to we pay more and get less. If we were spending LESS than other nations and getting less in return, that's fine. It's called you get what you pay for. In this case we are paying for it. we just aren't getting it. And that's what pisses me off.

Interesting. I didn't read the whole thing, obviously. I don't know what the answer is. Makes me rage.
