Certainly not me. I love this state. I've lived here all my life, born to parents transferred in by the oil industry. I married a Cajun and he gave me the most gorgeous, full of life Cajun baby girl ever. I live in an area of Louisiana south of I-10 that was spared by all 3 disasters. But I still get sick to stomach when I visit New Orleans or drive along the highway where the Cajun Riviera once was and now my beloved Grand Isle and the gorgeous wetlands are getting hit. So many memories.

And if you think your God chose to do this, I suggest ya find another one. And anyone that has anything bad to say about Louisiana, you ought to come visit. Not just Bourbon Street. But Cajun Country, the Atchafalaya Basin, the wetlands, the museums, eat the food, meet the people.

Not just Bourbon Street but Royal Street just a block up has a few happy places too and the women of Jefferson Parish are incomparable and I go to all the Tulane games whenever possible. We don't play a great brand of football anymore, that sort of ended after Ed Price but we do have a really good RB in the NFL ... plays for the Bears ....

Good memories ... good good memories

... and in 5 years of living there starting at age 16 ... nobody ever asked for an ID. Not in Biloxi either just a few miles up the road

Louisiana is one of the most racist places in the country, and I'm not just talking about when I went there and saw all the black waiters and white managers on Bourbon Street. That's also where a white kid pointed a shotgun at a black kid and the black kid got in trouble for taking it away from him.

Fuck Louisiana. I felt bad for them during Hurricane Katrina but then they went and voted for that idiot Bobby Jindal knowing damn well this fool was going to cut the poor loose and leave them to fend for themselves.
