Yes, they can't move faster than the submissions permit.

Three days seem to be the norm. But my story for last week took four days. And at least one other author here is also going on five days today. There's essentially only one submission editor here, with, apparently a few volunteer helpers--and someone has said that one editor is now on vacation. It's a miracle they manage to clear the volume they do.

If you open it (click pending) and then click submit again, it goes to the back of the line. So, unless you really have to make changes, don't look at the story. That's usually the problem when things go too long. Either that, or it's in preview and needs to be submitted.

spellcheck

theging25,

One reason a submission might be rejected is to have obvious spelling and grammatical errors. Your post has a dozen errors over 25 words, are your stories the same? You might need an editor.

I submitted a story as well, and it took 4 days to reject it. It was because I had written OMG in it twice. No big deal to change it, but seemed petty to me. It's a fairly common abbreviation. So, it's been two days since I resubmitted it.

What he said. I may be risking some sort of n00b backlash here, but your sloppiness is excruciating. You either need an editor, or, better yet, to simply pay more attention to what you're doing.

The question was on the story being still in pending, not rejected. When a story is rejected, a notice will be received that it has been rejected.
