why does society put labels on us it seems to me that having a sexual relationship with a friend is quite natural no matter whether male or female, its just an enjoyable experience that friends can enjoy

Because we live in a media blitzed world we hear things that really dont need to be heard. Eerything is politicized now. Even our private lives. Dont listen to things that upset you. Dont be baited.

I guess there are a lot of reasons. Generally, people tend to think in "compartments" -- we tend to have some innate need to classify. So classifications get created, and then we get slotted into them.

There's probably also a political aspect to it -- any good liberal will tell you that "the personal is political." There's also the political push for gay rights, broadly defined; but bisexuals are a bit of a different thing, and so it's a somewhat special box.

And sure, there's also a media bit to it.

Personally, I don't like labels, so I don't generally choose to "tick a box," as it were. But if I'm asked, I identify as bi. But it doesn't really mean a whole lot to me. So just go with what you're comfortable with, and if you don't like the label, don't wear it.

Not everybody wants to sleep with everybody else. I have many friends, including some of my own sexual orientation, and I have no interest in having sex with them.

I think, in general, people are not open enough because society loves labels and pointing out our differences.

I would be classified as bisexual but that is not what I call myself. I am sexual. I love sex, I love to enjoy myself and I love to please other people. I have sex with women and I love it. I have oral sex with men and I love that too.

If you do it and it's enjoyable that is truly what matters; not the labels people wish to put on us.

Call me whatever you want but I will not let it define me at all.
