The Starz series, not the movie, I just finished watching the first season on Netflix.

In the end, I got into it. I spent the first few episodes disappointed that it wasn't Rome, but I got over it. I love Lucy Lawless and Sam Raimi, though his old stuff was a lot edgier.

Lots of blood, gore and entrails, but some compelling characters, too.

Anybody seen it?

watched the whole series thought it was pretty good, very very bloody but good

Yes, I am Spartacus.

Ok, I was waiting for that :D

i liked fight scenes better in spartacus , Rome better storyline , setup ect...

Rome definitely had a better storyline, set-up and actors, though Lucy Lawless and the guy who played her husband in Spartacus were excellent. Spartacus himself was a bit lackluster.

The fight scenes were pure Raimi, a bit absurd but very satisfying.

I miss this show. Rome was the best.
The actor who plays Spartacus has cancer.

I want to see blood and sand, but I will give spartcus a try on netflix...

Yeah, that was a nice, nifty subtitle for the series, "blood and sand," very apropos. It's worth it, if you like stuff about ancient Rome, or if you like gory fight flicks, either way.

Had that 300 look to it which I like...

I liked Rome for a few episodes then it lost me for some reason. Never thought about it until now but didn't the main guy show up on Grey's Anatomy?

I liked Spartacus. I had a good time watching it, and I watched it all the way through about three times, I think. I thought the story was well told.

A friend of mine who was also into it and I shake hands now by the forearm, and we vow to make Rome tremble and to kill them all.

I loved Rome, was super sad when they stopped after the second season. I've never seen Grey's Anatomy, so I don't know.
