Since I got some surprisingly good advice the last time I wanted to do something that didn't sound like a good idea, I'm seeking your guidance again.

Should I reply to one of those ads on craigslist looking for "models"? Not the thinly veiled prostitution kind, paying in "roses" or anything like that. More like "Established firm is currently seeking models for immediate photo and video opportunities, no experience required" or something.

Not sure about these particular ads, but craigslist just makes me nervous. If you want fun, no contact or strings cash, I'd say check out any of the million and a half cam sites. I don't make the massive amounts of money that is advertised, but it sure as hell is easy spending cash without having to even consider doing anything I'm not comfortable with.

Not that im addicted to porn or any thing but a cant tell you how many of the reality based clips ive seen start out that way where they have some girl who answered an ad for modeling come in then they tell them about the money they will make n all this stuff, but that they need to prove what they could do ect then he films them fucking them then they leave and he admits to the camera that he isnt a producer or talent agent and that no such job even exists.

That being said, any thing is possible but if your truly looking to model im sure calling around to some agencies might be a better solution. And if you do this make sure you take EVERY precaution ahead of time.

If there's anything I've learned while watching movies from the 70's, it is "Get the money upfront. Get the money upfront. Get the money upfront!"

Sounds like a bad idea to me. Legitimate modeling is a business. They will have a business entity listing in the state they are in, they will have an ad in the yellow pages, they will have a phone number or numbers listed in the phone book, you can search them with the Better Business Bureau, their ad on Craigslist will actually say their business name listed to a real phone (not a cellphone), and if they call you on the phone the caller ID will show their business name, etc. ALL OF THESE THINGS MUST APPLY. Doing business just online would alert me to it being a scam or some idiot maybe not scamming anyone, just trying to find an idiot to pose nude for them. By the way, you can search any company on the Better Business Bureau, even if they are not a member of the BBB. Any business receiving complaints is in the BBB system.
