Look Into The Future Obamaniacs

Interesting.

This woman is receiving Faxes dealing with patient information from multiple Medical Service Providers because of a wrong number on a Doctors Prescription Pad. She is trying to resolve this through calling each provider when she can track down their phone numbers. (According to H.I.P.A. regulations these should all be sent with a cover sheet with contact information in case something like this happens.)

This woman is running into problems with her endeavor of clearing up the problem. Most of these problems are with the senders of these faxes.

How in any way can this logicaly be linked in any way or fashion to the so called Obama Care?

Just a harbinger of all the screwed up crap that's to come. Trust me it's gonna get ugly!

In the main, clerical workers in medical offices have a long history of screwing things up which has often led to everything from annoyance to injury. The doctors offices, the labs, the hospitals, the insurance companies and the feds cannot seem to communicate even the most rudimentary information.

God only knows what this magilla will be like when the feds are pulling the strings. :(

Yeah, better we find some wheat farmers from Kansas to do it. They'll know everything that needs to be done. :D

I'll add that if government workers didn't expertly do all they did for you in life, you'd be one puddle of nonfunctioning mumbling jelly. You just are so prejudice and ignornant about it that you won't tally it all up.

I'm reading a book now by Woody Holton, son of a former governor, on the process of replacing the Articles of Confederation with the U.S. Constitution. He has quote after quote of those working on the Constitution saying they had to do something to stem the democracy that was in the Articles because several decades of trying it out in America showed that the normal citizen was dumber than shit on anything happening beyond his (his, because at the time we were only talking men) nose. And they, in fact, produced a document that only picked up fundamental personal democracy again when the states wouldn't ratify it without amendments.

I often get the feeling that nothing really has changed. The basic American citizen is dumber than shit on what actually happens beyond their nose and all that is being done for them for what they put into the system.

Something like that happened to me, but it wasn't medical records. The first three digits of my FAX number are the same as a California area code, and I started getting FAXes addressed to somebody in that area code. Apparently, the sender, a state agency, was sending them without putting in "1" at the start of the number, so I got them. The phone number was on the cover sheet, so I called to tell them of their error, and they must have corrected it, because it didn't happen again.

Even if no other info is included on the cover sheet or the pages, the sending FAX number will be.

Most people probably weren't dumb, but they were ignorant of what was happening in the world. This was the result of so many being illiterate. Originally, the franchise was held only by male property owners, partly because they were considered to be mostly literate, and aware of world events. The property owner requirement was dropped later, but people still had to prove they could read and write.

As I said, nothing much seems to have changed. ;)

A lot has changed. Besides dropping the requirement to own property, the minimum age has been reduced, women now vote and poll taxes have been eliminated. The franchise is limited to citizens and I think literacy is no longer required.

Okay, I'll write slowly so you get it.

The woman should not be getting patient information...period. No how, no way, no shape or form. But she gets it cuz the printer fucked up and no one checked the form. This is a serious HIPPA no-no.

Now here's the part you have trouble with cuz you think Obama is infallible: Virtually every gummit program starts life as a colossal fuckup. ObamaCare already promises to be a confused and tangled ball of spaghetti cuz of its size and complexity. God only knows where records will go or vanish to. It will take years for competent fixers to straighten the blunders asshats create.

The original post is an example of what is to be.

James you hurt me. (Mainly by making me fall from my chair while laughing.)

Your first paragraph is absolutely correct.

Your second paragraph on the other hand is what caused me to fall out of my chair.

1) When if ever have I come across as saying Obama is infallible? (Then again when have I ever said this about any politician or even person?)

2) While you are correct about every, or near every program starting out screwed up. Then again all or nearly all civilian programs do so as well. In the case of "Obamacare" there are already safeguards set up to stop the transmission of private information to those who have no need to see it. (Although they are fallible as is shown in the original article.)

Amen to all that.....these 'teabaggers' take so much for granted in this country....they really should try living in another country before they criticize this one.....love it or leave it.......but most of all, believe in it.......don't be talking treason.....give us a solution with a good reason.....in time for the Christmas season, and we don't have to be appeasin', I'm not teasin'

Sometimes in life it is more effective to remain silent and thought to be a FOOL, rather than to offer one's insight and remove all doubt.......

The lesson didnt take.

Safeguards already exist via HIPPA, and records are sent to the wrong recipients inspite of the safeguards.

That's right. Safeguards already exist. And yet there is a failure in the system. The failure is called human error.

Hell you can call it Human Error, Human Incompetence or in some cases Human Greed.

How can this be equated with "Obamacare"?

Until humans become robots errors will always crop up.

All you do is, find something wrong with the current system, point at it, and say "Obamacare will be even worse!" If anyone asks how you know this, tell them it's self-evident to anyone with a brain, and then attack something else you hate about Obama. Then attack Obama again, and attack anyone else's intelligence again, just for the hell of it.

Oh, my, you found this in the "Sore Losers" handbook, didn't you?

SHIT HAPPENS may work for you but it doesnt work for most people, especially if people like you provide the service and arent invested or concerned about the results. SHIT HAPPENS is the flip-side of professional. Real professionals guarantee the desired outcome.
