lake here is spring fed, it never really gets warm. but now it is 45 degrees.........lol

Silly me when visiting my sister in the Canadian Rockies watched the kids splashing & playing in the water so I dove in then instantly remembers the lake is glacier fed instant brain freeze, headache & yelling underwater I turned towards the beach & when my feet hit the bottom I ran out of the water shivering & shaking. From then on the only time I went into the water it was a shower or a wonderful hot spring, the old bones love them.

lol....best to have a fire going close by here. it does warm up quite a bit in the summer though.

being frog-mad (i collect them and have several hundred, including my own designed tattoo) it was just the thing to bring a big grin

where i am living now, there are thousands of frogs. i see them on my bedroom glass door every evening

yeah we get lots of giant green tree frogs here and the tiny little baby ones too. My daughter got froggy because of her name Maddison Abigail - Maddie Abby - Mad Ab............Mad ab mad ab sounds like a frog ....its a long story but it came about when we were trying to come up with her name before she was born...and it stuck.

Anyone doing anything fun for the long weekend? Just off to the speedway to be surrounded by feral kids for me... I was intending on doing the raindance but I'm too bloody tired.

A.Beauty you do have a choice & it's an easy one just leave it till your feeling better as you have already done things that you shouldn't have done.
You need to think of what doing these things might do to you, take it easy & heal.

Things were warming up but we are now back to close to freezing overnight. Still the sun and prevailing winds are slowly getting the warmth back.

The temps you are speaking of are the ones I like. I will admit, I do cheat. I have a C to F converter link to confirm my understanding of what you are saying when you post in C.

The BIG lake where I am is up to low 40s F. Definitely too cold for swimming yet.

I reckon you guys are trying to get even with us southerners sending down all this humidity..it is getting to the point where we are getting two seasons...cool and humid. Recording breaking days for heat still abound here in Melbourne. Can't wait for Winter and some cool nights.

I reckon you'd need to blow really hard, I need a lot of cooling down. I was going to go outside and stand in the rain just to cool off. I saw one unfortunate person caught in the storm with no where to run and soaked to the skin...they obviously figured that saturation point had been reached and they couldn't much wetter so no point finding shelter.
