later today I'm off the get the car fixed & hope the bill isn't to big as we need some costly bits, can't see me getting away with under $500!![]()
hope it's cheaper for you!
mine gave me a scare yesterday - thought i'd done the uni's and/or twisted the tailshaft
i'm moving house at the moment, so have to have the car to tow trailer and as i've already handed notice for this one, i was panicking HUGELY at the thought of more expense.
as it turned out, it was only bad fuel clogging the injectors, so i got away with $100 and everything else on the car is fine.
but when it began lurching like a one-legged cow, i was freaking!
(the reason i thought i'd done something really bad, and didn't think of a simple fix like fuel, was that just before car went crazy, i'd had a HUGE lockup while towing a car trailer full of furniture - at least 2 tonnes, maybe more - and a car came out of a side road in front of me. i thought i'd for sure twisted something vital, especially as the trailer brakes failed and the weight pushed my car about 50m along the road, fully brake-locked but in gear!)
anyway, as i've said, i'm moving house, so i prolly won't be around for a week or so after today
