Regarding the Posting and Removal of Pics

I'm starting up this thread first to explain how I feel, then to get your thoughts on the matter. It's been pointed out to me that what I do is more frustrating than tantalizing. I always knew that some people would get annoyed when they stumbled on my threads only to find that they missed out on the pics, but I thought it had a playful nature to it.
I know that several hundred people see and save the pics every time I post, and I don't mind that. I know that the pics will spread, and I don't mind that either. Eventually, there is a risk I might even get recognized, but I'm not shy about my sexuality and I don't hide it. I don't care if someone sees, I wouldn't have posted any pics in the first place if I did. What I don't want is people knowing that I posted the pics myself. I just can't be bothered with that, even though it might be a trivial problem. I don't like the little annoyances.
Since I like to show face on the pics, removing them after a short while is a way to minimize the chance of that. Think of it as fucking in front of a window or going naked on the beach. People will see you, and some might take a picture. But it's not your fault. I like that.
I enjoy the hundreds of voyeurs, and the comments I get by some of them. I enjoy making someone's day, if they like what they see. Can you really blame me for wanting to control at least part of that experience? As I've said before, I don't mind people sharing the pics with others, as long as they don't re-post them.
Well, that was all I had to say on the matter, and I hope it makes some sense. I really am sorry to all those who I annoyed with my little ritual of posting and removing, and I'll work on something to solve that. Possibly my next submission will be a more anonymous set so that I can let it linger permanently.

I don't think you should feel this way about it at all. They are your pics you decide what is done with them. Granted I am one in the horde who missed out, but judging by the response here and in your thread it's gonna be worth the wait when you post something again. Bottom line it's up to you, anonymous pics or really putting yourself out there, anyone complaining to you over the lack of either is an idiot.

That said, however, I don't mind that you take them down, though...totally understandable given your reasoning, and it's your right to do so. What you do with your pics is your own choice. I wouldn't bother worrying about listening to people who complain. I guess if they really want to see them, they should ask you in PM if you're willing to show them...and if you're not, guess they'll just have to be on lookout. It'll be kinda like playing "Where's Waldo?" only sexier!

I like it. I've never caught any of your active threads before, but I'm quite taken with this touch-and-go (pun not intended) approach, not only because it contributes a degree of playfulness that's on the whole missing from these boards, but also because it allows you to retain a degree of control over your public sexual identity. If I log on to Lit and happen to see your thread, and it's active, and I enjoy what I see, then that enjoyment only exists at your whim. And I'd probably take more time, to really absorb the pictures before they slip back into the ether.

While occasionally it is frustrating to come across pictures that are missing, I don't really have a problem with it personally. It serves a function for the poster to have done (or sometimes the mods have removed something for their own reasons) and gives them some buffer of protection while still allowing them to have fun with lit in the manner that they choose.

Ultimately, that is what is important, and that should be, at least to me, respected. Besides, I can always hope to get lucky and be around for the next time they post something.

And really, it's actually more annoying when the mods have blocked something more so than the original poster taking something down that they felt should only be a temporary thing.

So yeah, totally respect and understand that decision Marie.

Hi! I don't believe we've "met". I haven't seen your pics, but from what I've read from the comments of others, I'm sure you're very sexy and beautiful. As a fellow poster at Ampics, I understand your wanting to have control over the photos that you post. As we all know, once we release the pics, they can be saved and downloaded into zillions of computers. And sometimes, if the pics are deemed "porn-worthy" by others, some unscrupulous individuals claim them as theirs - either they claim to be the girl or claim the girl as his GF/wife/partner/etc, and post them in other websites, or even maybe here at Lit. (I think there have been instances of pic theft.)

If you post naughty pics (with your face included), then it's entirely your choice. And if you decide to make them time-limited pics, then it's your choice too. One way (perhaps) to protect your pics would be to watermark your pics, as some posters (myself included) have done.

Perhaps you can mix in some anonymous/teasing pictures with the good stuff and then delete the good stuff leaving the tease and that would accomplish your own goals, and satisfy the testosterone filled men who are trying to spill their seed.

To be honest I completely agree with Jayzus.
Yeah, you have your pictures and you can do whatever the hell you like with them, but if you're going to take the leap and post them on an erotic forum like this you can't just pop in and pop out.
People will get frustrated. Maybe if you left some up for a few days, then took those down /along/ with more pictures you would find a lot less frustration.

Or even just take "teasing pics". Not many people are going to want to go to a thread if there is much chance of seeing anything, or talking to anybody. Your pic thread was so "un-picced" (new word? ) it got moved to the darkroom lounge.

Obviously it's all your decision.
