I agree! The added bonus is seeing the energy of critique and review reviving as well. I'll try to give a bit more of my time soon. I've finished building a website, writing 2 reports and practicing 2 end-of-semester presentations. I'm still working on getting through advanced spreadsheets ACK! Excel-lerate me outta there! But soon I will be rawkin' on all the delicious musiness of the pobo.

I agree - it does take more time and effort to review, but is good for all.
Spreadsheets can be weird critters, especially when more than a table of numbers.

If each person who posts here on the forum(s) tried to get one new poet per week to check out the forum (and maybe join in), we'd have a continuous stream of new writers. That would be the awesomest. Uh-huh.

I once sent a humorous but rude poem that I wrote on here to some of my friends and ended up two less amidst some very bad vibes, when the two that objected replied to all on the email telling me exactly what they thought of my efforts and me

now that's a crying shame; i realise not everyone's as open-minded as those here, or at least pretend to be more easily offended, but you must have liked what you'd created enough to send it to your friends ... their response seems absolutely out of proportion. please, Annie, never destroy your work again unless you, yourself, are unhappy with what you've written for its own merits, not because of this sort of drama.

Poetry in general, people have an attitude, "Why are you wasting your time with that?" I wouldn't put a poem up on facebook or something, would probably get mocked for it.

You might try advanced search. Toggle on show posts, otherwise you have to go thru the threads, and do another search..
Your can use your user name and hopefully you have a rare word which you remember.
Time window is 1-sided - either before or after.
