I impregnated my submissive.

I started a small business.

I got into an ivy league B-school.

Those were the big things, I think.

I'm not the same person I used to be.

Mostly.

Huge things. The pregnant thing...HUGE. I see my life in two parts - before kids and after LOL

The business and school things are big, too....you'll need the money for the kid ;-)

No kids for me just yet.

Sub miscarried at 9 weeks.

Congrats.

:rose:

Sorry about the miscarriage. That's so sad.

Fuck, no dull moments. Congrats on the good stuff, sorry about the sad stuff.

Thanks.

There is good in the bad and bad in the good.

I'm really looking forward to school, but I've been very grumpy about having to pay for it. I had TWO chances at full scholarship and blew them both. Now I'll be graduating with $140K in debt.

Sub's pregnancy was beyond unplanned. I had never heard of anyone getting pregnant while on birth control before, but apparently the 99% effective deal is not just a disclaimer. We were prepared to make the best of it, and even quite happy about it generally, but it was hardly the time we would've picked.

Now we have a chance to pick our time again.

Sounds like your year is off to a busy start. I wish you only good things. BTW, the contraceptive pill can be impaired in terms of effectiveness through drinking too much orange juice (as in lots on a daily basis). Is how my granddaughter came to be.:) It can also be risky if a woman has had a serious bout of diahorrea or vomiting.

I did not know that. I think in our case an oral antibiotic was the culprit.

it can also happen is the military pharmacy decides that THIS type of BC is EXACTLY the same as THIS type and you take your pills every day like you are supposed too..but they aren't the same.

She'll be 8 in May LOL

Yes and I don't know.

She got accepted to school too, the Harvard of photography schools. Our schools are on opposite ends of the country.
Cheers and congrats to both of you on the admissions front.

Two years goes by quickly, and it's not really two years. If you can swing the air fare, you'd have vacations and the intervening summer together. Not much time or energy for socializing in the throes of a high pressure grad environment anyway.

Yes, that was me casting my unsolicited and totally irrelevant vote in the matter!

What's the nature of your new business? Do you plan to close it down, hand it off, or try to keep it up when you start in the fall?

I've done the long distance thing before, with mixed results.

I'd rather she come with.

I make Kombucha, which is a kind of fermented tea.

If I can fix it so that I can run the whole operation from the phone, I will. If not, I will sell it.

My mother used to make kombucha with regular tea. It wasn't bad and is supposed to be very good for you.

I like it pretty mild. I recently tried a bottle from the health food store across the street and it was pretty much caustic it was so damn strong. It was like drinking straight apple cider vinegar and pretty horrid.

I've been getting into the raw vegan stuff lately and I have a dehydrator and a juicer. I was thinking I could use the pulp leftover from juicing berries and fruits, mixing in some granola, flax, touch of honey and making my own granola snack bar things... especially since most of the nutrients are in the skins and seeds. With the exception of apple and papaya seeds which one shouldn't consume.

Also, in 2010 I had near death experience #3.. that would be the two last February and then again this February. I think I'll cut that shit out.

I also lost 40 pounds in the last six weeks because of it and look like total shit, like a concentration camp victim.
