I love PMs. It is kind of strange that I get at least 2-3 a week from guys assuming I'm a woman, though. Of course, it was far more than that about 6 years ago when an admin on another forum decided I must be a woman. He gave me a cool custom title "100% woman" and a pretty, pink avatar. Honestly, "Hi. How's your night going?" still sounds like kind of a pickup coming from some random guy that said woman doesn't know. If you want to get to know a woman on a forum, post in sections she tends to visit. That's the best way to get her attention. I don't mean stalking her or anything. Just contribute to the topics and have fun with it. After you gain her respect, I'd say a PM like that will probably get a much more positive response.

Well, you have 239 posts sincer 2006, so you certainly don't post that regularly. (unless you're like me and left the site for a long time) Making a single post isn't really enough to get noticed. You need to be a regular, contributing member. Said woman also has to like you.

While the subject is about receiving pm's, i don't send many other than replies.

Having said that if see a clever profile, for instance, I will send something. I don't particularly expect a reply anyway so no problem. I won't bother the person again. Or an invitation in a post then I will send something. They are hard to resist. I can see women get bombarded with them, which is for some but maybe not others.

I generally stick to posts for something to say at first as suggested above. Some good replies there.

Anyway I like getting them because they are nearly always good. There are some I really look forward to, no doubt like most people. Except those who don't like getting them at all... There must be a few people like that? Maybe too, some people take this site far too seriously? The site is about sex after all. But may be I will reign in a few of my more worthless posting efforts.

I almost never respond to PMs from folks who I don't know...this is a chat setting, so if I'm in a room, a chat room, then talk in the room...and if there is something of interest I will also talk in the room, and we will be----> chatting!!

I almost never see that in literotica, people chatting in a room, Im used to yaoo rooms, fromtheold days, when people chatted with each other,and the rooms were like small communities...PMs were for friends, folks that wanted to cyber privately, but not for saying "hi, how are you"...

Maybe just different customs in different chat sites, but that's what I use PMs for...and what my profile asks people to do...ask before a PM, chat with me in the room, if I'm not already chatting, I'll say hi! and if some sort of connection is made, then I will ask if I can PM you, or you will ask me......but don't start there...if I'm in a chat room, I'm interested in seeing what, if anything, is happening in there..and who is in there...and will want to chat in the room before in PM...
