A Lamp in the Dark: The Untold History of the Bible
by Adullam Films

A Lamp in the Dark is an exciting new documentary that unfolds the
fascinating and “untold” history of the Bible, revealing critical information
often withheld or overlooked in modern histories. Enter into a world of saints
and martyrs battling against spies, assassins and wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Throughout the Middle Ages, the Papal Inquisition forbade biblical translation,
threatening imprisonment and death to those who disobeyed. Learn the stories of
valiant warriors of the faith, such as John Wycliffe, William Tyndale, Martin
Luther, the ancient Waldenses, Albigenses and others who hazarded their lives
for the sake of sharing the light of the Gospel to a world drowning in darkness.

Once the people were able to read the Bible and had the Word of God in their
hands, the world was turned upside down through the Protestant Reformation.
In response, Rome would launch a Counter Reformation to destroy the impact of
the Reformers, including the bibles they produced.

The Counter Reformation
We sincerely believe that Rome’s Counter Reformation is one of the most important
subjects to be studied by Christians today. As we show in the film, the pope
commissioned the Jesuit Order to lead the movement, and it has never ceased to
function. Learn the influence of the Jesuits during the translation of the King
James Bible, during the Civil War, in Nazi Germany; and especially how they have
been exposed in modern times.

Ignorance of the Counter Reform has enabled Rome to deceive millions through the
Ecumenical Movement, the World Council of Churches, the Emerging Church movement,
the current Interfaith Council with Tony Blair and Rick Warren, and the overall
seduction of Biblical Christianity. Some researchers even believe the Counter
Reformation is the real secret behind the European Union and the New World Order.
Throughout the film, we show how the struggles of the past continue to impact
current events, and are a guiding influence in the march toward globalization.

The Bible: Enemy Number One
Not surprisingly, at the heart of all this conflict is the Holy Bible. The Word
of God was the weapon of choice for the Reformers, who subdued whole kingdoms by
preaching the Gospel and exposing the idolatry of Rome. As a result, the
scriptures became a key focus for the Jesuits in their attempts to conquer the
world for the Pope, and bring mankind back into the Dark Ages.
But do the deceptions of Rome continue today? And how does this impact the Bible?

What to Expect
“Lamp” was filmed on locations in England and Belgium, and features never before
seen interviews with leading Bible scholars, including David Brown, Roger Oakland,
Alan O’Reilly, D.A. Waite and others. Also included are chief curators from the
British Library in London, Erasmus House in Belgium, and the William Tyndale
Museum in Vilvoorde, where Tyndale himself was burnt at the stake.

This ground breaking documentary is also filled with rich visual graphics and
dramatic re-enactments of key historic events.

Included in this 3 hour DVD:
1) The history of the early Church, with the warnings from Jesus and the
Apostles about “grievous wolves” and apostasy.

2) The alleged “conversion” of Constantine the Great and development of
the Roman Church.

3) How the Inquisition began for the purpose of silencing Christians
and outlawing the Bible.

4) The Bible translations of John Wycliffe, William Tyndale, the Great
Bible, the Geneva Bible, and finally the King James Version.

5) The Protestant Reformation and the reasons behind it.

6) Key doctrines confronted by the Reformers (i.e. inspiration of
scripture, salvation, transubstantiation, veneration of Mary, and
papal claims of authority).

7) Rome’s Counter Reformation with the founding of the Jesuit
Order in 1540. Included is the history of the Council of Trent,
the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, and the dreadful Jesuit oath.

8) The Jesuit plot of 1825 to “sieze” control of the Bible.

9) The Vatican’s involvement with the Critical Text used by
seminaries in the 20th century.

10) Rome’s fully documented (and largely unknown) influence
over modern biblical translations.

A Witnessing Tool
A Lamp in the Dark is also a great witnessing tool for salvation,
since it begins with the witness of the Gospel in the first century,
and then throughout the history of the Bible, unfolds some of the key
doctrines taught by the Reformers, such as repentance from sin and
justification by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

You need to get you a girlfriend! LOL

Am listening to him on Howard Stern right now...

Stern telling him that they had an over/under bet about how many times he mentioned the Navy Seals and the over was 14 :D Jesse said his being a SEAL is his entire being or some shit.

His theories are wild and he said he hasn't watched television since Dec. 31st. Was so proud of that. Then when Howard asked if he missed TV he said he mainly missed 'The Young & Restless' soap opera! I'm not kidding, he actually said he was addicted to that shit.

Howard eventually probed (could imagine his eyes rolling over behind his dark glasses during all his theories) and asked Jesse if he missed watching The Academy Awards the other night. Jesse said he DID watch Sandra Bullock get Best Actress in his hotel room. So Robin Quivers was like, ahaha, so you HAVE watched TV since New Year's Eve. Jesse shrugged it off by saying he had that remote control in his hand and just had to succumb.

Then, get this, he chimed in by saying he DID watch the Super Bowl down at his neighbor's house.

Whatever, dude. One second he was so proud of himself for giving up TV but then Stern and Quivers got him to admit to watching the Super Bowl and Oscars.

Plus I hate his voice... he so sounds like Big Foot (Sleeping Warrior and Beco know who I mean)...
Beco sounds like Bigfoot?

I would have guessed that on a multiple-choice quiz.

Ummm actually no. Not to mention that the Roman Catholic Church was only in western Europe and not universal even there (as Muslim held Spain and the presence of Jewish communities here and there proves).

There were MANY Christians who were not and never have been part of the Roman Catholic Church - the Copts in Egypt, the Ethiopians, the Armenian Apostolic Church, Syrian Orthodox Church, the Greeks, the Russians, India's Mar Thoma community, the Nestorians who went as far as Mongolia and China...

Once the people were able to read the Bible and had the Word of God in their

Europe was. But the critical flaw there is that not everyone could read and in fact religion was based more on monarchs as Protestant rulers had no qualms killing Catholic minorities. And vice verca. Look at Mary Queen of Scots for example. Or what Cromwell did to Catholic Ireland.

Learn the influence of the Jesuits during the translation of the King
James Bible,

King James translation was a translation specially tailored to a fanatical English king. Its not an "accurate" translation and gained popularity largely through being in public domain. Doesn't have a thing to do with the Jesuits and is in fact far more popular amongst Protestants if anything.

during the Civil War,[/quotes]

Catholics were a minority in America at the time. Most of the Confederates were Baptists or Methodists. In fact it wasn't until many many years later that you even got the first Catholic president (Kennedy) and even then people were freaking out because he was "loyal to the Pope"!

in Nazi Germany;

Which included Prussian Lutherans alongside Catholic Bavarians...

Ric Warren is an evangelical not a CAtholic....

Except of course that Catholic countries like Spain and Portugal were the most powerful and wealthiest world spanning empires at the time. It wasnt until much later that the Protestant United Provinces (Netherlands) and Britain rose to power.

Who?

2) The alleged “conversion” of Constantine the Great and development of
the Roman Church.

I have little doubt as to the sincerity of Konstantinos conversion given that Christianity lacked many of the elements appropriate to a more logical imperialist/expansionist religion like Mithraism or Emperor worship. However he had little to do with Rome. In all fairness the Eastern Orthodox Church has a far better claim to him (though neither existed as such as the time).

3) How the Inquisition began for the purpose of silencing Christians
and outlawing the Bible.

BULLSHIT! The Inquisition (which began in Catholic Spain in 1478) was the first national Inquisition and was aimed at killing Jews and to a lesser extent Muslims who remained in Iberia. Later Portugal and the colonies followed suit.

Ventura was elected by the same people who put Al Franken in office. MN loves whackjob politicos.

You people don't understand Jesse because you're all a bunch of slack jawed faggots. Not a sexual Tyrannosaurus. Just like Jesse.

I posted this anecdote in another thread before you ass-hats decided to carry on the conversation in this one.

My company's offices share the floor of this building with a law firm. One of the lawyers there was a UDT with Ventura in Viet Nam. It seems that Ventura was always crazy.
