morning :)

8 hours day holiday here (labour day for those in the rest of oz), and i have mountains of paperwork to go through to organise tax documents for tomorrow.
not mine - MY tax documents are always filed as soon as they arrive, in order and fully collated, and ready to do my tax on the first of july.... HIS tax hasn't been done for 4 yrs and there are at least 4 expanding files with documents in each, plus HIS business closed during that time, etc., etc., etc.
i HATE tax with a passion, so tomorrow i'm handing the whole pile over to someone else, and then i'm going to walk away and have my w.a. holiday and not think about it for a week or two!

yesterday we had the TASTE festival, and the rain held off long enough to enjoy it :)
i ended up having samples of most of the wines as well as an absolutely gorgeous single-malt with a double smokey tone..... mmmmmmmm, can still taste that one!
there were some awesome foods there too - lunch was a venison and rabbit casserole with smashed turnip - yummy!
i really love trying new foods.
this year my country to learn their cuisine is Lebanese.

reading back up the thread, i notice something about the cricket (yawn), something about beer (good hair rinse!) and something about spanking (now THAT's a bit better :D).... no-one could ever acuse this thread of being dull!

hey there :)

that whiskey was absolutely divine! the first taste over the tongue is crisp and clean, and it's only as you swallow that the smokey flavour just begins to appear.... and if you wait a while before the next sip, the smokiness really begins to develop right down in your throat.....
i may just be forced to buy a bottle!

commonwealth day? never heard it called that!
today should be happy-ish..... first paperwork, then hair removal, then hair colour, then packing for wed (won't have much time tomorrow as the tax man has given me a 4 hr appt :eek: )... and if i'm lucky with the rain, maybe i should also do some maintainence on the car before i drive all that way on wed to the airport (there's a rear wheel bearing that needs looking at, and i should do all the oils, and a radiator hose needs replacing so i should flush the cooling system......)

blah :cool: too much!

from what I hear webbo1, it was my lily-white bottom up in the air. but, you should probably confirm that first. you know how these rumours get out of control around here... ;)
