*wishing I was in Melbourne*

hmmm... has anybody ever wished they were in Melbourne before? *ducks and runs for cover just in case there are any Melbournians here* :D

melbourne does have good parts lol. the crispness of a sunny winter's day, the first coffee in the morning, hopping on and off the trams at will (i am talking the inner city, not the outer suburbs lol). art galleries, theatre, lovely but seemingly forgotten parks, and maybe, just maybe, a sporting event or two :)

LOL I spent a week there one weekend ! to explain it was way back in early pub closing & everything closing early days so there was no night life at all & we were bored shitless.

I know now that things have changed dramatically with wonderful things to do to entertain.

BANDIT:heart: & I were thinging about going down for a few days & got some wonderful advice from members of the Aussie thread but things just didn't work out.

found myself checking out craigs list .... g-d knows why. no intent. but was surprised by the bolshy casual personal ads.

anybody ever used em .... what happened. i will be honest- just a bit of curiosity.

Never been there but now going to look as we do like playing with others.

Oh if I could travel I'd be offering the same from us maybe next vist home we could catch up as we would love to meet you Allysin . :D

Gil, what do you do when you (gasp!) aren't on Lit? You seem to be glued here 24/7!

/me finding real life seriously denting Lit time

I'm mainly here in the early hours due to insomnia so explains my time here & a couple of days a week I get the chance during the day as well.
Facebook has drawn many innocents in & I was contacted by a friend from my school days or should that be school daze  then once there found other friends so now with rapidly filling friends list get sucked in there a lot.

As for time I have lots due to not being abled to work & I do miss working a lot.

hey all....

it's been a while since i was on lit regularly.... but my legal issues are now resolved and i am once again free to venture onto sites such as this one (was severely restricted because of the other party checking into my 'suitability' - which meant no lit or playing for a while!)
for those who know - i have walked away from everything.
no more fighting for access to the kids i never get to see even tho i live less than 5 mins from them.
so now it doesn't matter if he sullies my reputation with things like my lit-life....

obviously, loads happened here - congrats ICR

i've probably missed all sorts as i've only read back a page or two.....

WQ we are very sorry to hear that things haven't worked out with your ex :( *sigh* How incredibly selfish is it of him to deprive the kids of seeing their mother

However there is a bright side, although it may take a few years - your two oldest will soon be of an age when they can make up their own minds and hopefully they will want to see you and your ex will have no say if they do or not

NZ laws are probably different from those in Tassie, but when I left my ex my daughter was 14 and she could decide who she wanted to live with....luckily my ex was civilised and I had as much access to her as I wanted albeit she came to my place I wasn't "allowed" to go to the farm to see her other than to pick her up.

If you want to talk, you know where we are - we now have ADSL so landline phone will be free ;)

Three days a week he's hooked to a hemodialysis machine for 8 hours, he sleeps then so is awake for a lot of the night but he is usually up half the night anyway :)

yeah.... well.... he's a wanker, pure and simple.
all the things he said in the mediation i'd heard ad nauseum before - and the end result was that the mediator believed he wouldn't stick to an access agreement even if it was court-ordered (forcing me to take him for breach, at my expense each time!)

i've decided to move a little further away - being here, so close yet unable to see them, is just too hard :(

and you are right - the children are all at an age when they can decide for themselves... but the ex won't drive them to town to see me, and he's pretty much 'banned' me from even entering the street where they live (claims it causes the new wife extreme distress whenever she sights me!), so i don't get to see them even if they ask for it.

last year i saw my youngest for a total of 21 days.

Hm well how insecure is she  That is just bordering on the ridiculous

If it upsets her so much why don't you get the kids to walk to the end of the street so you can pick them up for a visit, she won't need to see you then  (Gil's suggestion).

I was "banned" from going into the house when I left, so I know how you feel (sorta). Although my girl invited me in for a coffee when her dad wasn't around if I was picking up/dropping off. She said it was her house too so she could invite me in if she wanted. She's stubborn like that.

unfortunately, the kids know only too well what the repercussions would be if they invited me in when the witch wasn't there!
they daren't risk it.
as for walking down the street - NOT without permission, thankyou very much! (her rules, apparently.)

oh, and regarding her 'insecurity'.... she had all my prints of deitrich, garbo and monroe destoyed because she didn't want to feel like she was 'competing' with them whenever she walked into the lounge

WQ, I haven't really kept track of things with you, and I am sorry to hear that things have gone seriously pear shaped. Most of the other stuff I can understand (somewhat) as insecure nuttery, but DESTROYING your prints, jesus h christ, couldn't she have just stored them away in the garage or something less drastic?

Best wishes for the future...

BANDIT:heart: is gloating over todays cricket match

WQ I've been through the same crap as you are dealing with so understand the hurting your having.

Your true friends are here for you if needed anytime.

Geronimo_Appleby love the new AV & tag. :D

Denrik, welcome to the thread & some details of you might help things along.

Chunu, I had the same insecurity issues thing going off as BANDIT:heart: read WQ's post to me.

I know melbourne has its good parts! geez! can't you brisbanites take a freakin' joke! hahaha ;)

but seriously, I've never been there (unless you count the airport on a stopover to Tassie) and it's high on my list of places to go. a few years ago, it was a toss up for me whether to tour somewhere in Australia or head overseas. It was cheaper for me to come over here. who knows though, if I'd toured Victoria like my alternative plan was, I might just be a melbournian now too... :D

mmm robed_masseur. after you taking me, someplace special, I might just show you a few things you'd really enjoy too...

*looks at the robed_masseur and smiles* what's not to like? from my point of view, only the coffee, hon... ;)
