Yikes! Yikes! Yikes! We're talking a "paralyzing blizzard" if this report is accurate! From here:

A powerful storm of historical proportions is aiming at much of the Northeast Thursday into Friday and will follow up to a foot and a half of snow through Wednesday over upstate New York and western New England. This second storm will be nothing short of a monster. Even in light of the blizzards earlier this winter that targeted the southern mid-Atlantic, this may be the one that people remember the most...At its peak, the storm will deliver near hurricane-force wind gusts (74 mph) blinding snow falling at the rate of over an inch per hour. For some people in upstate New York and eastern and northern Pennsylvania, this may seem more like a "snow hurricane" rather than a blizzard.

Cities likely to be impacted by heavy snow for all or at least part of the storm include: New York City, Albany, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, Scranton, Allentown, Reading, Williamsport and Burlington. The storm also deliver heavy rain and flooding northeast of the center of circulation. The cities of Boston, Providence and Portland may have their hands full with coastal flooding problems.
 Jeezus, guys! Get out of there! Jump on a flight west! Quick! Or at least batten down the hatches! Seal up the windows, and stock up on the supplies! And for heaven's sake, check in here so we know you're okay!

Well, I hope I'm far enough east of the river to not have a problem. This has been a terrible winter for a lot of people. I hope everyone is safe.:rose:

I am lucky to be safe. I got stuck out in the snow on my drive home from my prive kung fu lesson. My car couldn't handle it, and I am very surprised that I didn't hit anything...

Dude! Don't even TRY to drive anywhere Thur-Friday! The snow-icane will be upon you and that cool sports vehicle of yours is gonna be totally buried. Put it safe into the garage for those days.

If there is any snow on the ground I won't be. My car just does not perform in the stuff. I need snow tires if I even want to go to the store down the block.

Its NOT a snow hurricane! Its a global warming dust storm!

From the Radar It looks like New England may have some weather, but Washington looks clear.

I've had rain, rain, rain. Two inches yesterday. There will be another two today. Friday night, 4 to 6 inches of snow, but they are predicted high winds for Friday. I am in the southern river valley, though.

How's the snowstorm guys?

Heavy. It only took me a half hour to shovel, but it was a rough half hour, with around four times more snow predicted for a total, so another three trips out there at least.

I just shoveled over 30" of wet heavy snow.......and now it's a mix of rain and snow. HEAVY

18" of snow here so far. I don't know if I have anything left for what is supposed to fall over the rest of tonight and all of tomorrow.

I don't want to be dug out, thank you. Work is closed and I have plenty of supplies as well as my man at home. :D
