I like the thread, too, Jomar. I find it to be very peaceful. I scroll down to find it every day and I'm disappointed when he doesn't post anything until night time. I never knew there were so many nude paintings. It's been an education in more ways than one.

Don't misunderstand me Jomar. I'm in agreement. I appreciate art, music, literature, comedy, and the motivations/innovation behind the artists' works; without having to know all the personal details of the thread source.

I don't need to know if one has alts, mates, affiliations, mutations...unless I plan to get to know them more personally. That is not my primary reason for being here. Obviously, I am a little selfish here, as I tend to take more from this site than contribute.

But I do love the moments when I feel I am interacting with someone "real", occasionally. That just happens to be a plus.

It seems that Jomar doesn't realize that the thread began with ranking on member's AVs. It's been a nice transition to the artwork and, no, there's been nothing funny said about the artwork. It seems to be total appreciation for the masters, something that others can't understand. I, for one, get it, and like it. I don't want it to stop. I'm sure the artists on the forum also enjoy it.

I agree, there are many posters on the threads that I'm not exactly fond of or that are fond of me. But, if there is good or interesting information on a thread, I will take the time to read/see it. Scories, picture thread is a good one. Like him or not, it's a thread worth looking at.

Yes, anyone can start a picture/photo thread that's true but Jim did it. Talking about it is one thing, doing it is another. Then of course we have the nay sayers. Again, we have the freedom of choice. Look at the posts or ignore them. For me, I'm always looking for the new pics. Thanks Jim.

Quite true, that is an option for visual candy, sweet and sour alike.
I prefer preparing a balanced diet at home myself, but enjoy eating out once in awhile, for a change; a different atmosphere, table setting, meal presentation, accompaniments, etc.

You miss a lot, don't you? Not that there's anything wrong with skimming the surface only, or avoiding a body of water because the temperature is personally displeasing. It is much safer, after all.

People who contributed exponentially more to the website and community as a whole are absent, and that's a direct result of scouries and his gang of alts/synchophants. Once again, you'll have to pardon me if trading diamonds for buckets of shit isn't anything I consider an even barter.

The thread itself is leeching bandwidth from who knows how many websites by directly linking to images on their servers. Every time somebody opens that thread, they're costing multiple websites money for no return. There's no link back to direct you to the sites he's stealing from, thus not even providing minimal advertising value to offset the theft.

There is nothing praiseworthy about him, his gang, or that thread.

I prefer preparing a balanced diet at home myself, but enjoy eating out once in awhile, for a change; a different atmosphere, table setting, meal presentation, accompaniments, etc. I do enjoy searching web on my own, for all types of information, but it is time saving and a dose of pleasure to go to a thread dedicated to visual arts from another's perspective and sequence.

I enjoy the historical background, period implications and artist risks for expressions, artists theologies/ideologies, and any parallels to general immediate topics on board. Though there are some pieces that can be disturbing, it still stirs one's senses, even past comfortability.

Both Bobby and Freefall joined the site in July, 2009, and yet, they have eached formed two complete opposite opinions of what they see here--kind of like the half-full-glass and the half-empty-glass parts of our society.

I still like looking at the pictures that Scouries posts and I don't give a rat's ass where he gets them from. The only person who should be making any money off a painting is the artist, not the god damn advertisers. My rant is complete.
