When it comes to economics I am firmly conservative but can at least recognise that Obama's economic policy was taken over lock stock and barrel from Bush/ Paulsen/ Bernancke. Americans can complain as much as they will but the real responsibility for our childrens financial problems lies with the idiots who set up Fanny & Freddie as vehicles to lend money to people who had no capacity to repay.

Fannie and Freddie may have been a good idea when they started, but the real problem was the gov. leaning on the banks and on F & F to make and/or buy loans that were risky. This began with the anti-redlining law in 1977 and got worse, until the bubble burst two years ago. Banks used to lend money to people if they were reasonably sure the people would pay it back. After a while, they were required to lend to almost anybody that asked for it, whether there was a liklihood of repayment or not.

Writing on your hand is cheating. Reading off a lectern or teleprompter is not cheating. It's just the way it is.

Was she engaged in a contest or examination of some kind? Writing crib notes on your hand or anywhere else or using a teleprompter would all be equally cheating. In an interview or addressing an audience, none of them would be cheating.
