My needs are very specific. This is my second story, written for the gear head, or car lover niche, specifically late sixties muscle car admirers. (Don’t worry, nobody has sex with a car.) I would prefer that the editor have an appreciation for such vehicles him/herself. I need proofreading for basic syntax but would also like input on theme, voice, etc... Below is a link to my author page. Thanks.

Why no sex in the car?

I am booked right now, but if you still need someone by next week end, I will be happy to take a look.

Don't get me wrong, the car is definitely involved in the sex scene. What kind of erotic story for a gear head would it be if it were not? I'm just saying that no one is having sex with the car itself. It's not that kind of story. :) I will warn that this story is significantly longer than my maiden submission. Its just over 7000 words and ten pages of Word.

As do I, which is why I decided to write the story. I'm also considering doing illustrations to accompany the story but the jury is still out on that particular option. I need to make sure the story is solid before I spend hours and hours on drawings to go with it.

Good point.

Have you visited the artist's forum yet? Austin has a drawing of an older truck he did that's cool.

I've never been. Thanks for the link. Might have to post some of my stuff if I can manage to get it onto my computer.

You're welcome. Since I can't draw I just go there and admire the work. ;)

Well I did manage to get the only drawing of mine that already existed on my computer set as my profile picture if you would like an example of my artistic skill level. I'm afraid I'm better at drawing than I am at writing at the moment but in all things practice makes perfect. :)

Very nice. You should check out some of the challenges the artists do. It's a good way to meet people and showcase your drawings as well. From that example you would fit in well there.

I'll stick to writing since I still can't draw a tree that looks like a tree. And I've had a lot of years to practice! :D

ETA: You might want to check this one out as well.

Oh, delightful! You can't see the little gleam in my eye but be assured it is there. I never could resist a good challenge! Plus I just love a linguistic lothario. How stimulating!

If you haven't checked out the AH, stop in there as well. You'll find threads on everything from politics to humor to moods and about anything in between. And scores of personalities to go with them. ;)

Thanks! I just came here to find an editor but I'm finding a wealth of possibilities as well! :D
