Please Rory keep your voice down, the echo here inside this toilet bowl is kinda loud. :D:rolleyes:

Jesus, giving morality sermons from a porn board is kinda funny, are you related to Jimmy Swaggert?:D

Lol.. Good one vetteman. Good way to keep those racist trolls in place.

Did you see my post the other day to read up on the history of Argentina?

No, I'll have to go find it. I was in San Diego all week enjoying the relatively warm weather and not here. It was really nice. Lou and Mickey's for dinner one night and Chianti the other night.

It's still too early to tell what kind of president he will be considering the giant size bag of shit he was handed when he took office. But worst president all time is W. Oh come on!....It isn't even debatable.

This is your defense for supporting a member - actually multiple members - who are openly racist?

Interesting. I have a feeling this back-and-forth between you and me right here is going to be *very* useful to refer to in the future.

Bush had backbone and kept pro-growth policies in place...in comparison, he's tremendously better. Too bad the dem policy of requiring loans for everyone whether they could afford the loan or not lead to the bust or else the term would have ended well too.

I think the dems "soft expectations" plank is just as pernicious as openly racist idiots. I don't like either position, what I advocate is equal opportunity and a free society.

How many Presidents have you seen in your life?

I remember Ike.

I'm never happy with candidates from either party. The true statesman have retired to do something more honorable than politics. The one that got away was the fiscally conservative Senator Warren Rudman. He would have made an outstanding president.

What do you call support, answering a post?

"Answering a post"? No.

Answering multiple posts of theirs. All the time.
Agreeing with them almost all of the time.
Almost never calling them out on their racism. (Link to the last time you did.)

There are folks here who would call me a racist for associating myself with your posts

Name those folks. Go ahead.

but they don't believe in free speech, just guilt by association. Is that your core belief Rory?

Are you suggesting "free speech" exonerates the speaker from scrutiny and consequence for said speech? Because you're suggesting these two things are mutually exclusive. Please tell me you're not really this dumb.

The President concealed his true intentions during the campaign.

He concealed the fact that he was going to surround himself with some of the most radical leftists in the country to help him run the government.

We don't really have an radical leftists in this country. Even if we did the history of the world has been a steady march to the left and America has allowed itself to get behind over the last three decades. It's catch up to civilization time.

He didn't run on a pusillanimous foreign policy.

You're really pissed that he'd rather be loved than feared aren't you. If we learned nothing else from 9/11 it's this. Someone who's afraid of you will shoot you in the back. It's past time to try something new.

He railed against the excesses of the Bush administration and concealed his intention to quadruple the Bush deficits with new massive spending programs that will cripple the nation for decades to come.

Good point. I mean it doesn't matter that a country SHOULD spend it's way out of a recession and that Bush was irresponsible for not RAISING taxes on EVERYBODY when the economy was great.

He concealed his contempt for the founding principles of the nation.

Please, elaborate.

He concealed his contempt for the free enterprise system during the campaign.

He's still concealing his contempt for free enterprise. Probably because he has no such thing.

He concealed his plans during the campaign to break contract law, seize GM, disenfranchise the lawful bond holders, and reward his Union constituents with control of the company.

Actually a questionable move. I'm amazed, your not usually this cogent Vette.

The President concealed his intentions to cut the defense budget during war time.

We're not at war. We're at wargames.

He concealed his intention of cutting 500 billion from Social Security until after the election.

You can't support free market capitalism AND SS. You should be applauding him for cutting this program no matter what he said or didn't say.

He concealed his intention to take over the health care industry of the United States and replace it with a draconian government boondoggle.

No he didn't. He rain on Health Care Reform and anybody who wasn't a complete idiot knew he meant UHC of some sort. The fact that his bunch of retards can't write a bill worth a damn is an entirely different situation.

He concealed legal philosophies that brought him to the conclusions that our enemies on the battlefield deserve the same Constitutional rights as citizens of the country.

You mean he didn't understand how the Founding Fathers believed that and I quote men are "endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights" and amongst those are the right to a trial? I think like a lot of right wingers you forget we were founded by a bunch of treasonous dissenters.

He concealed military strategies that produce ROEs that threaten the safety of our troops in the field.

Care to elaborate? What specifically has he changed since Bush.

He didn't run on a platform of exposing our military to open homosexual activity. This makes him a fraud, and at worst a liar.

Actually yes he did. It's listed as one of his promises and one that he has so far failed to deliver on. I can't believe that you as a fellow Marine could think that it is a positive thing that we legally force our brothers to keep secrets from each other. There will never be gays serving openly in the military. It's not going to happen. But it's not right that you can get kicked out if someone finds out your secret. It's stupid.
All of the above makes him the worst president in history.

The fact is Rory, you believe in guilt by association and prior restraint, I don't.

That much is clear. Makes it a lot easier for you to express your less-desirable social attitudes through the support of others, doesn't it?

Since you brought it up, I'll ask it again: who would charge you with being a racist by being buddy-buddy with me? Why aren't you naming names? Is there something unsavory about the members you'd potentially list?

(You're not fooling anyone.)

This is why I wouldn't call you a Communist just because somebody in your family might have been accused of it, and you did nothing to condemn them.

The members you fraternize with aren't "accused" of anything - they make racist comments, all the time, right here in front of everyone. Trying to draw an analogy to that and someone "accused" of being a Communist in the late 40s is...well, you've obviously breached your mental abilities on that one.

Respect the fact that I was a Marine in a different era than you, before anyone would have stooped to "Don't ask, don't tell." Homosexuality was anathema to everything the Marine Corps stood for, and from what I can tell from my conversations with Marines today it still is.

Homosexuals in my time were forced out of the Marine Corps if they became known, it was just a fact of life. The generation before mine wasn't so kind and wasn't beneath tossing them overboard during WWII.

Their activities were detested by other Marines, as they are by most normal men in society today. Men are willing to accept the fact that they exist, and for the most part live and let live, but they don't want their faces rubbed in it. This is a simple concept the gay movement cannot accept, nor understands. They want to wear their homosexuality on their sleeve in the military or there would be no need to do away with "Don't ask, don't tell."

You were also a Marine in an era when hazing could be fatal. And was in my MOS. I believe Gays woudl still be forced out of the Marines today if they became known. It's never going to be acceptable within that culture. Not today, not twenty years from now, not one hundred years from now. NEVER. Particularly not amongst the grunts. The Air Wing really is a different culture all together.

Gays shouldn't rub normal men's faces in it. And just because the numbers agree with you I won't mention that most of society doesn't really mind lesbians and many men find it good. There really aren't enough women in the Corps to make any solid argument out of that.

Pick someone you knew or know and trusted. Pick one of your brothers Devil Dog. If he told you that he was gay do you think he should have been LEGALLY charged and driven out of the Corps? I'm not saying a guy showing up wearing pink, I'm not talking about a guy marching in rallies. Would you have turned in one of your brothers if they told you that in confidence?

Edit: The Japanesse must not have been as badass as I've heard if Marines/Navy were executing able bodies while we were fighting against them. I suspect that throwing them overboard was a terribly rare occurance if it ever happened at all.

I have to admit in my lifetime you ve had a few jokes lets see....Nixon, Ford , Carter, Reagan, n George W....Bush jnr wins !

Sure. However, every US Marine unit has a "unit bitch" and what they do behind the closed doors of the barracks is well known by every branch of the US military. The Air Force considers Marines to be butch.

Let's just say that Marines are 'first in' in non-combat situations, too.
