The evidence is mounting. Irresponsible spending (most funnelled to his own special interestes like unions) that will put our grandkids in deep debt, printing money that is destroying the value of the dollar, a foreign policy that can only be charactorized by "apology and weakness", blatent disregard for the law as seen in the dismantling of GM and handing it to the unions (who caused its problems in the first place) in an undisguised payback for massive election support, and repeatedly deceiving the american people (I won't hire lobbiests, I'll create a transparent government, no new taxes, etc), unrepentant favoritism and a penchant for smiling in public and acting like Rob Blagovich outside of the public view. Want to talk about healthcare and his proposed massive government takeover that even he doesn't understand (but knows its better for all of us). He is making a strong case for being the worst President in history, in part for the long term damage that he's doing to our nation that will take a decade or more to sort out.

What's your position?

What's your position?

You have to learn to conduct a fair poll.

Iggy.

Having a non-citizen as US President was insulting enough to the hard-working, heavily indebted American populace.

The Obama Administration has done more damage to the country in one year than the first 43 presidents* COMBINED. Here is a select list of what has happened since the ethnically unbalanced President has taken office:

  • racking up even more massive debt following fiscally incompetent George Bush
  • losing war to the Taliban, al Queda and - even worse - Islam
  • military regularly defeated on the battle fields in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan
  • abortions now encouraged and teen pregnancy celebrated
  • illegal immigration no longer discouraged
  • 30 million lazy people complaining and whining about health care
  • terrorism on the rise in middle America - no one is safe
  • rape, incest, and murderers released from prisons
  • homosexuals and lesbians considered acceptable lifestyle
  • interracial relationships no longer taboo
  • youth are fat and getting fatter

*Does not include the brief period when former US Secretary of State Alexander Haig ran the country following the attempt to assassinate living god Ronald Reagan.

Obama hasn't completed his first term yet. Only if he loses in a primary or does not seek a second term, then I'll consider him worse than Carter.

Obama is intentionally wrecking the country to the peril of his own party and his reelection chances in 2012.
He said he'd rather be " an effective 1 term Prez " than an ineffective 2 term Prez
Think about that...if he's one term it means he's being kicked out of office. And he's cool with that...
4 years of 1 term is more than enough time for him to accomplish driving America into the ditch permanently which is his real agenda and has been since his days as a community agitator in Chicago.
One term = Mission Accomplished

Obama is printing money? That would be an impeachable offense if you can prove it.

Obama raising taxes would also be impossible. He simply can't do that. There's more evidence of Santa Claus than of any of these allegations.

You need to look at yourselves from the perspective of the rest of the world, whether your President is good, bad or indifferent is a question dwarfed by reactionary ill-informed opinions (just look at Sarah Palin who thought her experience of being Governor of a State with a coastline near Russia somehow informed her of the complexities of geography, history and foreign policy).

Sad also is the undercurrent of racism, both with regard to how some people view their own elected President and in policies bandied about at for example the Tea Party convention (charges of racism of course are always denied - but hey, who cares about truth or evidence) - this is all poisoning your politics. As the world changes around you, your generous hearted people are being misled and misrepresented by raucous, introspective and selfish rabble-rousers.

E Pluribus Unum, how many can even understand it? When China predominates in the world, it won't be because of Obama or Bush, it will be because American's lost the precious moral high ground for which they were so long admired. Remember the Statue of Liberty was a gift, so too is liberty itself, and like all things worth having to be treated with care, with respect and humility.

OK, back to the sex.

:)

He's tracking to beat Franklin Pierce and we'll know for sure in 2011.

The United States of America will be a Chinese territory by 2011.

The President concealed his true intentions during the campaign.

He concealed the fact that he was going to surround himself with some of the most radical leftists in the country to help him run the government.

He didn't run on a pusillanimous foreign policy.

He railed against the excesses of the Bush administration and concealed his intention to quadruple the Bush deficits with new massive spending programs that will cripple the nation for decades to come.

He concealed his contempt for the founding principles of the nation.

He concealed his contempt for the free enterprise system during the campaign.

He concealed his plans during the campaign to break contract law, seize GM, disenfranchise the lawful bond holders, and reward his Union constituents with control of the company.

The President concealed his intentions to cut the defense budget during war time.

He concealed his intention of cutting 500 billion from Social Security until after the election.

He concealed his intention to take over the health care industry of the United States and replace it with a draconian government boondoggle.

He concealed legal philosophies that brought him to the conclusions that our enemies on the battlefield deserve the same Constitutional rights as citizens of the country.

He concealed military strategies that produce ROEs that threaten the safety of our troops in the field.

He didn't run on a platform of exposing our military to open homosexual activity. This makes him a fraud, and at worst a liar.

All of the above makes him the worst president in history.

Vette, I'm starting to think you might actually be one of those losers who hands out pamphlets at the supermarket IRL.

Nope, got plenty of dummies here to rail at.

But you don't rise above the fray; you've proven to be equally or more dumb than anyone you respond to.

Case-in-point: you pray at busybody's altar daily. He's a raving moron and the GB's most vocal racist.

..and you fraternize with Cade.

Your "stock" isn't exactly going up, Vette. ;)

Lessons from Argentina for the Democrats

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A History lesson....Cry for Me, Argentina

In the early 20th century, Argentina was one of the richest countries in the World. While Great Britain 's maritime power and its far-flung empire had propelled it to a dominant position among the World's industrialized nations, only the United States challenged Argentina for the position of the world's second-most powerful economy.

It was blessed with abundant agriculture, vast swaths of rich farmland laced with navigable rivers and an accessible port system. Its level of industrialization was higher than many European countries: railroads, automobiles and telephones were commonplace.

In 1916, a new president was elected. H ipólito Irigoyen had formed a party called The Radicals under the banner f "fundamental change" with an appeal to the middle class.

Among Irigoyen's changes: mandatory pension insurance, mandatory health insurance, and support for low-income housing construction to stimulate the economy. Simply put, the state assumed economic control of a vast swath of the country's operations and began assessing new payroll taxes to fund its efforts.

With an increasing flow of funds into these entitlement programs, the government's payouts soon became overly generous.

Before long its outlays surpassed the value of the taxpayers' contributions. Put simply, it quickly became under-funded, much like the United States Social Security and Medicare programs.

The death knell for the Argentine economy, however, came with the election of Juan Perón. Perón had a fascist and corporatist upbringing; he and his charismatic wife aimed their populist rhetoric at the nation's rich. This targeted group "swiftly expanded to cover most of the propertied middle classes, who became an enemy to be defeated and humiliated." Under Perón, the size of government bureaucracies exploded through massive programs of social spending and by encouraging the growth of labor unions. High taxes and economic mismanagement took their inevitable toll even after Perón had been driven from office. But his populist rhetoric and "contempt for economic realities" lived on. Argentina 's federal government continued to spend far beyond its means. Hyperinflation exploded in 1989, the final stage of a process characterized by "industrial protectionism, redistribution of income based on increased wages, and growing state intervention in the economy.."

The Argentinean government's practice of printing money to pay off its public debts had crushed the economy. Inflation hit 3000%, reminiscent of the Weimar Republic . Food riots were rampant; stores were looted; the country descended into chaos. And by 1994, Argentina 's public pensions -- the equivalent of our Social Security -- had imploded. The payroll tax had increased from 5% to 26%, but it wasn't enough. In addition, Argentina had implemented a value-added tax (VAT), new income taxes, a personal tax on wealth, and additional revenues based upon the sale of public enterprises. These crushed the private sector, further damaging the economy..

A government-controlled "privatization" effort to rescue seniors pensions was attempted. But, by 2001, those funds had also been raided by the government, the monies replaced by Argentina 's defaulted government bonds.
By 2002, "government fiscal irresponsibility induced a national economic crisis as severe as America 's Great Depression." In 1902 Argentina was one of the world's richest countries.. Little more than a hundred years later, it is poverty-stricken country, struggling to meet its debt obligations amidst a drought.

We've seen this movie before. The Democrats' populist plans can't possibly work, because the government will bankrupt everything it touches. History teaches us that ObamaCare and unfunded entitlement programs will be utter, complete disasters in the future.

Today's Democrats are guilty of more than stupidity; they are enslaving future generations to poverty and misery. And they will be long gone when it all implodes. They will be as cold and dead as Juan Perón when the piper must ultimately be paid.

This is a very good perspective on where we are headed unless we very quickly change that bunch of idiots in Washington !!!
