For quite some time I have been keeping my mechanics tools in a smallish Tool Box as well as in assorted shelves and drawers. This was to say the least a pain in the ass. If it wasn't in the tool box then I had to go back to the shelves or the drawers to get what I needed. By this time I was done with a job it usually took several trips to return everything to their places.
Then about a week ago I broke down and picked up a nice larger toolbox. One that holds all but the largest of my Mechanics tools. (Yes it is heavy.) Everything in one spot other than the powered tools or the things like the Breaker Bar and Torque Wrench. Oh heaven.
Now I had a spare tool box that my wife wanted me to toss in the trash. Instead it sat out on the patio for a few days. (Hey, it's made of some kind of tough plastic and other than the Rust, Grease and Acid Stains inside it's just fine.)
Today I started thinking about it as I sat on the patio. I had an idea and started checking the sizes of different bins inside the trays and was happy. I could fit all of my electrical and electronics tools inside the box with room left over for small spools of wire and a jar of Caps. We're talking things like my Multi-Meters, Circuit Testers, Crimping Tool, Connectors, Soldering Iron, etc, etc. All in one place.
Oh that makes me happy.
