That is a picture of my submission... A multi-layered trinity that is perfectly beautiful as a whole, but whose heart is the true prize. It is honest in it's presentation, it isn't effected by pomp and circumstance, and it's solid yet fragile... And some people are allergic to it.
The trouble is finding the person who sees the gift for what it is. Yes there is a responsibility to caring for it, but the effort will produce that much more of a reward. It doesn't need to be loved forever right now, it needs to be cherished and respected and maybe even fussed with a little to bring it in to full bloom. Yes, a little manure would be good now and then, but it must be applied carefully and with purpose - he can't just dump the shit on top and expect it not to burn.
Giving one's submission is both a gift and a responsibility and it needs to be given to someone who understands that. The trouble is finding the person with the green thumb out of all the men in farmers hats. Unfortunately, part of that is handing over the flower to see how he does.
