That might be it. It certainly made me roll my eyes and I didn't bother to go beyond the first page. It reminds me quite severely of my contention that Romeo and Juliet is no great romance story but rather about an adolescent crush that, if left alone, would have burned itself out. Love is much more real and present than these people seem to allow for.
