Wardrobe dilemma.... Please help

Please help.... Have a date tonight with a guy I met last week when I was dressed en femme. We are dinner and movies, I will be going as Emma and can't decide between the little black dress or a line skirt and halterneck top..... . Here in Sydney it's fringe of summer and will be 26c.... Or 77f for non Aussies.
Benifit of Little black dress, more smooth tanned leg.....and a possible peek of light coloured knickers if he plays his cards right. Benifits of a line and halter neck, more flattering for my figure and new outfit.
What a dilemma.

I was told by a female colleague that dark dress light knickers is more alluring than none.....plus I love the feel of silk
