The Coogee Bay pub was the place to see all the top Aussie rock bands in my time.
The Red Tomato rings a bell but can't place it as I'd move away from there, think it was just one of the bars there.

for me, before coming back to pommyland - why? why did i ever do that?

... anyway, it was the croxton park hotel, melboune, that had the bands. i was too young to go in of couse

oh, and have a great National Day. stubbies all round! say that in england and they'll think it's kinda rude! not the thing to shout at a swingers' club anyway.

That was one thing I admired in both the US & Canada with lots of flags being flown everywhere I went.

We had an import duty in Australia meaning if you wanted to bring in the cheap goods from overseas but the political party in power at the time removed it destroying the manufacting industry here was destroyed & now even our famous BONDS blue work singlets are made overseas GRRRR I no longer but them but have to buy overseas ones anyway.

China is going to own the world and I think the USA is helping them.

No unfortunately, no going out plans for me...

I've been out of the loop for too long, now I feel a little too old and awkward to 'go out'. A bit of a hermit, I guess.

Weird situation, still living with the ex. He's out tonight with his new 'interest', while I'm still just trying to be OK with being home alone on a Friday night. Hoping to regain my confidence soon, and kick off 2010 properly. Hasn't been so great so far.

Dosen't sound like much fun at all so far in 2010 but you are in control of your future so take charge & get it happening & there is no way your to old.

I lived in the same house with my ex for a month before I found a place and moved out. It's decidedly awkward, and not much fun with a lot of tension and silence. Hope you manage to get things back on track soon

I know I haven't exactly been an angel since the breakup but the lack of communication thing is really starting to get to me. We were together for 7 years, you don't just stop speaking to someone altogether.

Things can only get better, right?

One of the best ever Australia days I've had has been at La Parouse with the local community out there with no problems all day unlike crammed it with the hoards around the harbour where it gets push & shove often.

Now about us southerners & our heat equator is north of us & logic say that north is hotter than south so how can your heat be ours?
