Hiya Aussies (and our lovely friends from other places)

Thankgod the weather is finally a bit cooler today. The last week got steadily hotter until like Gil said it finally cooled yesterday afternoon.

I haven't been feeling all that great for the past few days with having some horrible pains in my chest which go under my arm and through my shoulder blade on the left side. It lasts from 10 - 20 minutes... coming and going but ohmygosh it hurts.. hard to breathe, hurts to breathe.. cant think what it would be that is causing it but if it continues I might head to see the quack.

I have been a little out of it too - so much so I was doing laundry and spraying my work clothes with some preen... or what I thought was preen until I realised it smelled funny and looked at the can in my hand - SURFACE SPRAY!!!

{{{ICR}}}} You better get yourself to an ER STAT!!!

The Coogee Bay pub was the place to see all the top Aussie rock bands in my time.
The Red Tomato rings a bell but can't place it as I'd move away from there, think it was just one of the bars there.

Happy Australia day

Dunno if I'm supossed to say happy or not

AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE OI, OI, OI

Happy Australia Day works for me Webbo.:D

Threat of thunderstorms in Sydney but thinking of heading out to a local park where they have a great day of entertainment ending with a fantastic fireworks display, Carrs Park is the place to be in our area.

bears the hell out of happy obama day..........:D:D

:mad:I'll not be flying the Aussie flag, wearing the Aussie hat/caps, I won't be having any of the made in China Australia Day goods ever!

Do you have the stars & stripes displayed Bear? where is it made if you do?
ALL our stuff is made overseas & I refuse to support our national day with imported goods.

Roulettes

Watching the roulettes out the window here - just did a pass along Flinders Lane.

a great sight - along with the crowds along the Yarra.

That was one thing I admired in both the US & Canada with lots of flags being flown everywhere I went.

We had an import duty in Australia meaning if you wanted to bring in the cheap goods from overseas but the political party in power at the time removed it destroying the manufacting industry here was destroyed & now even our famous BONDS blue work singlets are made overseas GRRRR I no longer but them but have to buy overseas ones anyway.
