Has anyone heard any comments yet by either Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton about the crisis in Naiti/ I haven't down here although I have been expecting it.

I suspect they are on the ground right now assessing.

God Bless them both.

Maybe and maybe not. since they won't be able to blame it on W, they might not bother.

I think they are speechless after what Pat Robertson said about it (that it was God's punishment on those godless voodoo worshipers, the result of making a pact with Saten back in the eighteenth century when those darkies had the balls to revolt against the whites and form their own government).

When Sharpton and Jackson can get to a microphone, I'm sure they will inform us that they are family friends and spiritual advisers to every single Haitian--and that CNN has to move its cameras to get their best side showing.

I doubt you'll hear much until the situation gets to a piont where they can take a camera crew in and get some good pictures of them "helping". Just as well, they don't need the useless down there.

Unlike Robertson and Rush, they've been amazingly quiet. Is there some reason to bring them up when they haven't said anything, but ignore those who have said something?

The best thing that any of those four guys or any of their ilk can do is to shut up and stay away. If they go there and pose for the cameras, they'll just get in the way and interfere in other ways. I don't know just what other ways, but I am sure any of the four could think of something. :(

Merely curiosity.

They have in the past stated their support of the Island Nation and I expected them to at least make a comment about the crisis there.

As for the comments made by Rush and Robertson I am not going to grace their comments with a reply. (Although I'm not surprised by either one.)

I dislike Limbaugh, Jackson, Robertson, Farakahn, Phelps and Sharpton equally and for the same reasons.

I have to say, AHers can argue about a lot of things, but it's nice that we can also find common objects of loathing.
