I have managed to successfully dom my cat! I also did it without having to resort to any kitty food withholding trickery or other such talentless acts.

I did it through sheer damn manliness!

For how many seconds?

Well, it was sporadic at first as the demonic entity that all cats are made of resisted which is why this endeavour took so long but I held off on announcing my success until I was sure that the subjugation of my cat was permanent.

domming your cat is no great success. I do it all the time. I've dommed my cats time and time again. And I've got the bloody scars on my hands to prove it.

Cats are too independent to be dommed for long, if at all. Trust me on this. If you have yet to realize this fact, I'd suggest you watch your back, sleep with one eye open at all times and never...I mean NEVER walk through the house barefoot!

Because, when you least suspect it...this=> will become this => :catroar: and end with this=> :cathappy:

I'm telling you guys, it's been months and she's thoroughally dommed. :D

You say it's been months, but are you sure she's not just biding her time? I hope you don't have stairs in your house.

Well, she was pushing her sammie limit the other day during the "claw trimming" incident but I swear it was more of a spastic, reactionary love nibble than an attempt to bite.

I don't think I've ever met a cat who *didn't* attempt some biting and or nibbling during claw trimming.

I'm rather curious how you did it. I know how I Domed my lady cat with the better than you attitude... Just wonder if they're the same.

(And it took about 3 1/2 years before I had to do it again. Once.)

My boy cat purrs when you clip. He tries to pull away, but he sits there purring.
I didn't do anything to make him so freaking easy, he just is. Though he's very strong when he braces those little paws on the entrance to his carrier and says "the hell I'm going in there."

Everything and anything is a threat to my other cat. She can not only not be dommed, she can hardly be approached. NB: I didn't have her till she was two, I didn't traumatize her with a dog in the house, someone else did.

My cat is driving me crazy. He does exactly what he's not supposed to do knowing he's not supposed to do it. It seems like he craves doing stuff to piss me off. Then he comes and acts all sweet and cute. *frustrated*

*wonders out loud whether or not Schrodinger was a Dom...

That's what you get for naming your cat ziggy!

I'm ready to name him something different then. I doubt any other name would make things better. He's trying to figure out a way to get on top of my cabinets. I saw him trying to figure out how last night. I have lots of pottery on top of them.
