I know Bonds beat it but we already know he's a cheat, too. Does everything go back to Maris or what?
 
Was Bonds ever actually found guilty of anything? As far as I remember it was all rumour and innuendo.

Yeah, he's got that whole "proof" thing on his side but come on. You know he did it, I know he did it, everybody fucking knows he did it.

McGwire’s statement comes as he prepares to return to baseball as the hitting coach for the Cardinals, the team he played for when he set the home run record.

“Now that I have become the hitting coach for the St. Louis Cardinals,” McGwire said, “I have the chance to do something that I wish I was able to do five years ago. I never knew when, but I always knew this day would come. It’s time for me to talk about the past and to confirm what people have suspected. I used steroids during my playing career and I apologize.”

i doubt it. i mean, really, if they did they'd have to change a whole shitload of records as he was hardly the only one using steroids to give himself an advantage. as much as i hate to say it i think the tainted records should remain just for the sake of the statisticians. imagine having to change all that shit and remove everything by every tainted player. hell, you might as well erase the entire decade of the 90's.
