Salutations. I'm new to the forum, although I have submitted stories without editing before. I'm looking to improve the quality of my submissions and so I thought maybe I should give this editor thing a try.

I'm working on an interracial erotic romance that will probably be in the range of 10k to 25k words. My erotic stories to date are almost exclusively about bm/wf love relationships, most often with underlying themes of adultery and cuckoldry--with a hint of femdom.

My knowledge of grammar is pretty good, although I'm sure I slip up plenty of times--usally in the heat of writing something saucy. Aside from grammar checking, I'm hoping to find an editor with an eye for plotting and conflict.

Overall, I really want to improve the quality of my erotica...and to make something irresitibly hot to read of course.

My feedback from readers in the past has been mixed. Many LOVE it, many HATE it. Some have begged me to write more while a few have disliked my erotica so much they have suggested I throw myself out a window.

Looking forward to hearing back from a potential editor. Hopefully my post won't generate flames over my genre of interest, I have received a lot of flack in the past over making bm/wf erotic stories--it is what I like to write and I can't change that.

If interested, send a pm or post on this thread.

I'm not sure what is wrong with what I write. All I know is that at least 1/3 of the feedback I get back is negative, sometimes hostile. I leave comments enabled on my stories so you can read some of the criticism I've gotten. It is usually about content and not how it is written.

For some reason people take offense to my subject matter, which is weird because all I'm doing is posting my erotic stories on a erotic literature website. If they don't like interracial erotica then why do they read it in the first place?

Oh well.

I just want to make sure it is well written, well plotted and saucy.

You know, that's a really good question. I read a story once, I believe was AS's, somewhere in the incest category. Towards the end of a... two part? three part? series, the main vein ends up with some female not his sister that he's banging. Someone went through the trouble of commenting something along the lines of: "There's not really any incest in here. You shouldn't have waisted all our time."
When I submit my own stories, I'll be sorely tempted to file them all under the novel category because I don't want to choose between EC, romance, incest, group, interracial, first time, L&T, lesbian, bondage, loving wives, and so farth. Only the site editors will probably put everything under incest, which would realistically get me the most views in the first place.

Write what you want. To fuck with people that can't handle reading about a white woman getting fucked by big black dick. I write mostly incest, and it goes to logic that I can't discuss it with anybody I know because none of them can handle thinking about the subject without suffering convulsions. Just do yourself a favor and shut off anonymous comments.

I haven't read anything by you yet, so I cannot comment on your writing. I can, however tell you that many people who read erotic fiction bring their own preconceived notions to the table. They want you to write a certain way, tell a certain tale, and have it end a certain way, usually without giving you input. Then they're mad at you for not living up to their expectations.

I can also tell you that the most constructive and meaningful feedback I have personally seen has been in the story feedback forum. No one there seems to have an axe to grind, and mostly the comments are helpful. The people that post in the forums here and in the story feedback (as well as AH) seem to be people that generally love the written word and would be here to help even if it wasn't about "getting off".

They talk trash about your stories because they need to comment negatively on something. It makes them feel better about themselves. Pay only half-attention to what is said in the feedback area under your story, and instead pay attention in the forums. The dedicated writers and readers are all about improving the quality of storytelling.

Just my two cents.

I call it "Internet Anonymity Sickness," the ability to be cruel without the threat of being held accountable. Along the way, you might come up with a fan. Someone who reads and loves everything you write and begs you for more. Like Paul, there. Paul, write more. Wait, fuck, I'm supposed to be editing something for you. Hold on; I've been doing Haunica (can't spell a fucking thing) wrapping.

I live and die (on Literotica) for the people that are in regular communication with me regarding my stories. They don't exist yet because I haven't posted anything, but that's the idea. I won't be catering to the mindless anonymous that can't say a kind word to save its life. A story doesn't live up to my expectations, I write one that does. I suck at it, but I don't blame the author.

I'm still willing to read what you send, just don't expect much more than an "I liked it, here's why" for the next few weeks.

Unexpected Praise?

Thank you. that was completely out of left field. :D

You have my latest, in editing, and I have a start on more, but real life has once again intruded on writing. When I have time (this weekend), I will finish up more edits on the current story (I'm trying to tighten it up and pace the beginning a little faster). I don't expect to have another posted until the new year. My job keeps me busy like that.

Plus, after the feedback from the last story, I have decided to try and restructure paragraphs for printing on Literotica. That one you have right now has some monster paragraphs. I may post in the novels section if it develops the way it has been.
