It is. Knowing that men are legally murdered in Nigeria for being gay does not mean that being illegally murdered for being gay in America is okay.and people say America is intolerant and homophobic

is being murdered for being gay worse than being a run of the mill murdered heterosexual...?
I'll lay odds a straight American was murdered yesterday and one will be murdered today and tomorrow, too.
A gay will most likely not be murdered in that time frame for their sexual identity however...
and when is murder ever NOT illegal...? Abortion notwithstanding
Many people in America *are* intolerant and homophobic. And some of these people are elected officials and religious leaders who have been working hard to promote homophobia overseas - including in Uganda.and people say America is intolerant and homophobic
Yes but your argument holds a flaw, they aren't being murdered because they're heterosexual. In US society it's deemed less acceptable to kill a person for what they are then what they did. For example, a person goes out an kills a person because they're black would be frowned at more than say... the two individuals were in the middle of a drunken brawl. So in answer to your question, yes.
Now if your question was "is being murdered for being gay worse than being murdered for being heterosexual...?" then I'd say no.
understand your points...how many gays are killed annually in America as a result of their sexual identity ?" and how blacks are killed because of their race?
without doing the research, I'll wager Blacks killed because of their skin color are due to turf wars between Latino rivals...not the stereotyped " hope / wish " they were killed by a Caucasian
On a related subject, we watched this in a women in world history class I took. It's pretty much a series of interviews with south Africans from both sides.
The guy in the cap made me sick
my first reply was in response to a news story. that reply was rebuffed.
here we have a government sanctioning execution of homosexuals.
that ain't goin on here. wholesale beat downs of homosexuals has been waning for a very very long time. and if it occurs it's done by yahoo fuckwits.
America is seen by a large percent of the gay community as being intolerant and hateful because " it " doesn't condone / embrace gay marriage and that position of intolerance is always laid at the feet of conservative republicans...never mind it's been voted down in every state it's been balloted...that's impossible odds that it's the republicans voting it down, don't you think ? if that were the case, McCain would be president today. Look at the other side of the aisle ( democrat voters ) and you'll see untold numbers of teamsters, school teachers, mailmen, musicians, voting to preserve marriage.
open your eyes.stop dumping this at the feet of the right exclusively.
Again, it all boils down to the inability of humans to move past the fear of things that are different. Humans fear that which they do not understand and that fear turns to violence.
It's wrong..plain and simple..death for sexuality and even the torture and cruelty homosexuals face all over the world.

None2, sweety, arguing with an asshole is a waste of time and toilet paper. Logic and facts won't mean anything to him, and you can tell that because logic and facts haven't meant anything to him yet. You can't appeal to his emotions because he has run out of his limited repertoire of emotions-- fear, hate, dread, distrust -- already.
Just flush the toilet.
I can see it now... a feminist gathering where they chant: "I embrace abortion!" It ain't going to happen.
