Thread and writer appreciation thread

This thread is for those of us who read others' threads and enjoy them or the writing of other RPers, and wish to give a little shout out.

The rules are quite simple write up the title of the thread, the writers in it, and if the feeling moves you do a bit of gushing on how fantastic their writing or their thread is. Maybe provide a link to the thread too.

I'll give one as an example.

These are two of my favorite writers on this forum. And since they've started this thread I've read and enjoyed it immensely.

Like I said it can be minimal or over the top whatever the mood moves you to.

Thanks Veroe! our posting schedules havent been conducive to making that story pop like we want, but he is my favourite to spin a tale with, we have a few that we've done together, and a couple in the works

My current favourite is currently The Prowler by LoganDarkHolme and Sweetp4u

I enjoy Logans work very much and would recommend him to anyone looking for a SRP with a supernatural bent to it. Awesome stuff

I don't think it's possible to stick with one favorite... so here I'll go listing!

**Favorite Romance will have to go to Alana_. I've stalked her for the longest time and I absolutely adore her characters. It's impossible to not fall in love with them, the way her characters feel real, with the little touches here and there that add that depth to their personalities. Multifaceted, in their strengths to stand, but weak enough to stumble on occasion...

Blood Angel was a beautiful, and intense story, I was quite sad to see the cowriter disappear.

The ongoing ones Prequel to Nightmare in Heaven and An Impossible Blunder, both done with Marauder13 were and still greatly enjoyed. (Who might I add is quite the partner to Alana_. This man seems to be able to handle any sort of character, and catch any sort of curve ball without batting an eye. He does an amazing action scene, one of the best in my opinion, and can keep up with just about anything. Of course I'm biased since he's also the person I run to for technical advice and idea bouncing!)

**Sweetp4u has got to be the most sassy, descriptive, sexy writer I've seen. She packs attitude, style, humor, sexiness all into one. It's almost too easy to identify with her characters, to smile at the flair she carries, the mettle beneath it all .... She's as sweet as her name and will get in your face to flirt and flaunt it.

**DarkEmpress will take the cake for most emotional tension. If it's emotional, she's got it down. She will take you for a spin and leave you absolutely emotionally attached to her till the end of the entire story. That's not to say she can't keep up her end if it's without the emotional touch. She's a well rounded writer (all of these people are) and I think her best comes out when she's handling the emotional.

Mirror Mirror done with Rick957 has some really tender heart rending moments (where I seriously want to wrangle the bastard causing her trauma) I swear I spent a week haunted by what might happen next in his post and dying to find out at the same time.... and when the post finally went up I was too scared to read it. Of course wanting to find out what happened won out in the end and I gave in to go read, but I was cringing as I hit the button.

**This brings me to my next 'pair' - Rick957 and LitShark tie at being able to thoroughly terrify me but still leave me wondering why I'm getting aroused. Rick957 is much more clinical in description than LitShark (Who has a thing for dirty talk), but all in all, both of their work... is like watching a horror movie happen, where I'm covering my eyes not wanting to look, but can't help peeking anyways.

**LightIce wins hands down for best descriptive, sexy writer. He makes me wish the characters were real and I could tackle them and drag them into my bedroom. I've started skimming his work when he writes sex because I've needed cold showers every time I read them in complete detail. His descriptions all around are beautifully worded... more than that, his word choice is pristine. There are times I wonder if he knows just how vivid his choice of words make his writing...

Hmmm.. If I wrote all those that I loved then there would be no room for anyone else to write here.

I will copy what I wrote in your other thread as I think perhaps it fits here better.

"I remember being afraid to write with some people because they wrote way much better than I did; they were more eloquent, more descriptive, more everything.... they could spell! Then I realized that only by writing with these incredible people could I grew and learn as a writer and a person, they helped push me to improve!"

So here is a list of the writers rather than their threads; although if they are in a thread it is most likely on my list!

In no particular order.......*drum roll*

This may well be just the tip of my iceberg; there are many wonderful writers out there who will just not receive a mention here, simply because these adoration threads often become a bit inclusive to a particular group of writers....

So to you I say a big thank you there is someone who is riveted to your wonderful work, they just haven't found this thread yet!

To anyone above that's included me on their lists, I profoundly thank you. It cheered me up no end and I hugely appreciate the mention..I am of course very fortunate to have M13 as my partner, and enjoy our threads immensely and the challenges each hold and continue to expand offer.

The gentle VT, the dark Cg, the romantic Tio, inspiring Marauder, the fantasy of Yeishia and the driven Veroe are writers that, while Im desperately limited in my time to read full threads, I do read individual posts from them every chance I can get. And I hugely enjoy each word. So thank you for the enjoyment you've shared..

A Two Fanged Seduction

A thread by Bsquad, Monique Minx, and FaeBites. These three have made an original concept on a frankly overused subject (vampire SRPs) and turned it into a gem I'm looking forward to following, and with the recent inclusion of Chgris (One of the best out there at portraying the dark, dangerous, and seductive quality we all like in Vampires) should make this a thread everyone should look to catch up on.

Wow...thank you Veroe, I think I speak for all of my co writers when I say we're honoured to be mentioned. It's a team effort and requires many hours of discussion but the results are worth it, we hope you all enjoy the twists and turns it is about to take! I'm grateful to have Chgris on board for it as he does the character so well and exceeds expectations!

The Fallen Angel

A thread by ThePheonixMan and Pywakit. A thread about an angel who falls and becomes a succubus. This is the first thread I've read of ThePheonixman's (and not to be the last I hope) but I liked his pacing. His posting was well paced, measured out and effecient. Thus it gives Pywakit an excellent platform to shine.

I confess I'm a big fan of hers because not only is she ridiculously hot in her sex scenes-to the point of causing thermonuclear meltdowns, but she's incredibly creative at playing all these fantastical characters she does (Hands down the best on this forum at portraying Succubi-which she thankfully does quite often-IMHO) and she somehow finds innovative ways to use the fact that she's playing a fantastical character during the sex to show progression in plot or to up the ante in the sex itself. She never forgets who or what she's playing and uses that to show us how having sex with a succubus or a falling angel would probably be like. I can't say enough to praise her talent in this, it makes any thread she's in a must read for me.

Beautifully written by Marauder13 and DarkEmpress, there's some toe curling scenes in there and more than enough to have me soaking my seat! I can't wait to see what happens next and for a change, I'm not even trying to predict what will happen, I look forward to the next post and the surprise it holds!
Very much a catching tale by two excellent writers!

A second wave of writers that I definitely appreciate...

Chgris- One of the best when it comes to writing the dark dominant dangerous vampire and all that it entails...

Veroe- Theres a certain... flair that goes with this one's work. I can't quite put my finger on it... but he's got a way of irresistibly drawing you in... (and is also on my hit list of people I someday want to write with... once I get the nerve up to do so)

Black Bart - If you want mystery... and someone who can keep secrets and slowly let it out to reel you in... he's your man. He's got a way of giving out barely enough information. yeah... he'll answer the question, but he'll also start even more questions than the ones he answered.

MaidofMarvels- Versatile. Every character whether young and frivolous or old and wise carry a certain depth to it, a certain vibrance that makes me want to believe a character is real...

Chris2c4u- One who no longer writes on these boards, but I still love the variety in those short Tabard Chronicles stories he did with MaidofMarvels. These two are quite the dynamic duo...

LongShanksSierra- A writer that takes his time to set the atmosphere and scene in a story.... One that will appeal to the mind's eye and what one can picture from words.

Mephistopholily - Another sassy lady that tucks that touch of humor into the corners of her work. Even some of the N/C stuff where I get worried about her poor character I can't help but smile.

-Reader warning... if you're not up for reading long posts... than you're not going to appreciate these writers much...

Once bitten twice shy

A thread from Black Bart and SweetP4U two more of my favorite writers on this forum. IMO both of these two are exemplary and top notch at this business-real pros at RPing: creating expansive worlds, fascinating characterizations, taking curveballs thrown at them and hitting homeruns from them, and instilling sexiness into scenes. I can only hope I evolve as an SRP writer to the level of skill these two show consistently.

At first I thought the thread was a spinoff of BB's River Runs Red group thread, but even though it features two of the writers from that and is about vampires, its actually a stand alone story and is shaping up to be a thread I'm looking forward to following. That's been the draw for me really: at first I didn't think much of it, but as it has progressed and these two excellent writers have added more and more on it I wind up looking forward to reading more of it. And that's the best accolade I can give these two...They took a so-so thread (at least to me at first) and through their excellent skills made it more and more awesome.

Have started reading Dark Mind, written between DarkEmpress, VampiricTouch and LitShark.

Amazingly written, some of the descriptions and settings just drag you straight in. Similar idea to the movie The Cell; (great psychological sci-fi movie if you haven't seen it!) really hanging out for the next post. They are truly inspiring writers. Twisted, and not for the weak of heart, at parts - but a great read!

Nod: East of Eden
A closed thread from Ravenloft and Crimsondoll. This thread's concept the story of Lillith-Adam's first wife-after she was banished from the garden of eden being seduced by Satan made me smack myself on my forehead for not thinking of it first.

Damn it, they beat me to it, and are doing really well with it so far too.
