My first submission for over three years is up. I wrote it over a year ago, and I really don't know what to make of it, not sure if it's any good. The style is not my typical one. I was going for a sort of Kurt Vonnegut irony. I've experienced more death, lies, betrayal, separation and self-doubt in the last three years than in the whole of my life hitherto.

If you have fifteen minutes to spare, take a look and let me know what you think. BTW It IS meant to be funny! And yes, it's very close to a True Story, except the end

I gave it a five. Truly inspiring. That fact that I liked it probably means it will score in the low two's. Congratulations.:)

I hate almost all stories (except mine, of course). I liked this one so it must be great.

Thank you for reading it, your comments, and your votes! I'm really glad I posted it because it ends of a long dry spell.

Very melancholy to my eyes. Must have been a hell of a time, or a time of hell, more to the point.

Good read though. Thanks.

Well, my life is currently like a German restaurant with bad service -- the Würst is yet to come

I once stayed at a German hotel at Inglestsdt (spelling?) about 50 miles north of Munich. It is still burned into my soul that they had 50 different sorts of Wurst on the menu- and nothing else!

Interesting story, well written grim humour.

deserves a quirky smile at the noirish humor.

I never was comfortable sitting at the Stammtisch table nursing a beer for hours.
