Or do you not partake in giving costumed kiddies/tweens treats when they're trickin'?

Got some mini Starbursts, Nestle Crunches, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Hershey's Milk Chocolates and, of course, KitKat bars. Erm, tiny bar singular but it's KitKat and what I crave when I PMS cuz I don't normally crave nor eat chocolates or candy.

Two Halloweens ago hardly anyone came a'knocking so last year I had only a bag of KitKats in the ready and of course tons came so I had to fly down to the nearest shop and pick up Lemon Heads, Hot Tamales, Grape thingies for 25 cents each. The boxes actually had 25 cents stamped on them, how you like them apples? Heh.

Well?

Used to be you could hand out loose candy by the handfulls. Sadly, not now.

My advice is to hand out the small, individually wrapped candy bars. You know, like Snickers, Baby Ruth,, that sort of thing. They're pretty cheap, available at just about every grocery store in the US and,,,,, whatever is left over is a nice treat for yourself later on.

This year is Butterfingers.

Holy Trinity is Butterfingers, Snickers and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

I'm not sure how old you are but back in my day when I went trick o' treating, all loose candies were tossed into the garbage. Everything had to be sealed.

Loose candy.. I get the image of you taking a handful of candy corns and just dumping them into kids' bags. Yuck! Even back before germs and tainted stuff were something to worry about.

I get several bags of different candies and mix them together in a punchbowl to hand out. I go big for halloween and this year my yard is looking like a graveyard and several other effects.

The area by my drive way will have a person in more of a "cutesy" costume for the little kids that get scared to come the scary path. Last year a little girl about 4 came up to a cauldron full of hot ice with me stirring it got her candy from my mom dressed as a witch and then promptly forgot her candy bag and ran back to her mom like she was so brave to walk up there all by herself.

I will use favoritism while dispensing thy goods. Impress me the first time but then come back for seconds before curfew, yer gonna have to dance for me little Spider-Man, dance.

We do the same. Good elaborite costumes will get candy heeped on them. No costume, no candy.

And of course you gotta be good to the wee little ones who are on their first or second time doing it for real.

Of course, I always try to pass out the ones I don't care for so the leftover are my favorite.

We usually go with the trinity as well, this year a little different, gum and assorted candies, caramels and even got some nail polish, and so~forth. All sealed!

Plus some small tootsie rolls and tootsie pops.

Not many kids come by anymore, the neighborhood's a-changin'.

My son's decided he's too old to go out. This is the first year I won't be trick or treating in...probably 20 years.

But he wants to stay home and hand out candy.

Aww, I love how you get all into it! Graveyard, scary path and you stirring a cauldron full of hot ice. Awesome!

Punchbowl, eh? I'll be using a round, blood red Bed Bath and Beyonds basket with a handle to give the goods out at the door. Already got the Black and Orange Peanut Butter thingies inside an goldfish bowl. Those are for my Hump because he's in his 40s and there can be no Halloween without Peanut fucking Butter wrapped thingies. I was stern with, "Eat the oranges first because there's hardly any blacks and it ruins my scheme."

I had fun while I walked with the kids, but handing candy out is fun too. And the weather is better indoors.

We have that and also a few skeletons hanging by nooses with a sign that says dead zone and a concrete birdbath we have put one of those large plastic owls people put in thier yards to scare off birds and squirrels. In the water of the birdbath we are gonna put more hot ice to cause it to fog out of the birdbath around the owl. as well as some other things being done.

Lucky ducks getting candies from you and yours. You seem all in to it, too.

You ever stop to take pictures of some of the most adorable kids while at it?

Back when I was 8 I dressed like Dolly Parton. Blonde wig, full make-up job from my sis, huge boobs stuffed with my brother's tube socks... oh hell yeah, I rocked it. Looking back, I can now see why so many took pictures and why my pillow case (um, back then we didn't fool around, we took big ass pillow cases while tricking for treats) was insanely full. Wrong? Maybe. You want something you gotta get sleazy to get it, or so my sis said while dolling me up. Heh.

We just used our school bookbags. they worked great and had built in handles.

I always got way into it. When my daughter was maybe four, I remember doing some really gory makeup on both of us, and going out as zombie mother and daughter. We went to her daycare and I noticed all the other little kids...staying away and some of them terrified.

Oops :D

I'll be dressed and out with my daughter. I need to stop at Atmas' house, however!

I'll have several different chocolates, gum, toys, and various wax candies I ordered from an online candy store.
