Editor request for gay male stories

I have two short stories that I just finished and would much appreciate a critical eye. One is the continuation of the My Neighbor series, which would fall after "Reconsidering." The other is an unrelated one-shot about the clichéd boss/secretary relationship. Most of the characters are jackasses, which I find highly amusing to write. It has been nearly over a year since I used a Lit editor, but I'd like to get back into the community. Would anyone be willing to help me out? I'm mostly looking for copy editing—grammatical checks and continuity.

here's some helpful, semi-friendly advice: just do it yourself, man. yeah, it takes awhile and it's a bit of a pain, but, trust me, if the story is good and you actually get most of the really bad stuff out your story will do fine and you won't have to wait for some one else to do a half ass job for you in twice the time it will take you to do a half ass job yourself.

I did my own editing, which is why I want just a grammar check. My ass may be deliciously firm, but it sucks at catching what the spell-check missed. But, given el lacko of responseso, I might just submit them as they are. They're not exactly my opus magnum.

My prophecy: I submit them and convince myself that editors don't love me, then get feedback saying my editor missed something. Bah!

Just got off jury duty, was a juror. After the horrors I've edured gay male is nothing.

Thankfully this sicko won't see the light of day again except within prison walls - an uncle/niece! But I may be incapable of adding to stories of this genre ever again (incest).

It's not the act so much as the complete violation of both trust, a trust of a minor who is relying on an adult, as well as the physical well-being. And then the production of porn when the uncle photographed it all.

I would suggest that you can't find an editor because you don't ask the people that claim to be available in the current month. Me, I just put meself up there because I don't be checking the editor's forum every day.

But you talk like you have some skill with a keyboard. I'd be happy to edit for you.

Or you could just read some GM stories here and ask the authors of ones you admire if they'd mind reading yours and making suggestions.

I would love to copy edit your story. I submitted my editor's profile a couple of days ago but haven't heard anything back yet and am unsure how long the average approval process takes. While I have no formal training, I am really nitpicky about proper spelling/word usage and the continuity in a story's character development in everything I read and so am constantly wishing I could correct others peoples work as I read it. I also enjoy reading gay stories as long as they are "real stories" and not "quickies." It sounds like I am what you are looking for. If this is the case then contact me through my profile. I feel quite badly because, as editors, we generally frown upon those writers who skip this phase and post directly, bypassing this phase.

And congrats to those who express patience and do seek us out.

But as a community, we are failing to provide. I see this every day. The real question is, what is the answer?

I have no good one. I used to have answers but LadyC has squashed them and so I offer them no more. I appear to be dead in her heart and so is she in mine.

I can/will edit when time allows, but this time is growing short.

I love LadyC, no hurt intended, but things now are no longer the same.
