No offense, and I'm not saying he's great, but Arnold's taking a load of blame and he's actually one of the most bi-partisan governors I've ever seen. Perhaps, it pays to just do what you want.

The state of California's tax base was poorly structured for this economic downturn. Like a lot of people and governments, CA assumed the good times would last forever, and drastically underestimated the risk of real estate prices.
When things turn around, CA will be one of the quickest states to bounce back.

He's a Republican, and not only that, a staunch Right-Winger. Actually, the fact that he's married to a Kennedy only made me respect his political ambitions more.
Not that I'm a supporter, but we've had better and far, far worse Governors than Ahnold here in Cohlifohnia.
His actions have proven to be very bi-partisan, which is good since it gave everybody a chance to fumble and bauble without anyone free enough of responsibility to point fingers and laugh.
Kind of like a preemptive, "Oh yeah? Well you try it!"
