Back in July 2009, Hilary Clinton-
Was quoted when she said North Korea should not receive the attention it has been seeking through missile tests and other provocative acts, and she compared the nation's behavior to that of unruly children.
(Thank you Reuters)

North Korea's temper tantrum resulted in North Korea getting what it wanted.

September 26, 2009- The North Koreans allow family reunions between
North Koreans and South Koreans, again. There should have been another
wave of reunions on this past Tuesday.

The last reunions were held October 2007.

Ummmm.......

Okay.

So?

Did North Korea hold it's breath and kick it's feet? And not allow the second batch of desperate people to have a reunion?

North Korea on Agenda at Regional Talks
(thank you associated press)

The talks were meant to help set the agenda for a three-nation summit in Beijing on Oct. 10. A joint statement issued afterward did not include any major policy statements but emphasized a desire among all for deeper cooperation.

North Korea has toned down its angry rhetoric and appeared more willing to rejoin stalled disarmament talks, after months of threatening nuclear war and conducting nuclear and missile tests.

The Yonhap news agency in South Korea, meanwhile, said the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il, could announce some concrete denuclearization measures during Mr. Wen’s visit. Citing unnamed diplomatic sources in Beijing, Yonhap reported that Mr. Wen might promise food and fuel aid in return for disarmament measures.

The two-hour meeting Monday was also a testing ground for Tokyo’s relations with regional partners under the new administration of Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.
