Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton tells NRO that President Obama’s address to the U.N. was “a post-American speech by our first post-American president. It was a speech high on the personality of Barack Obama and high on multilateralism, but very short in advocating American interests.”

“It was a very naïve, Wilsonian speech, and very revealing of Obama’s foreign policy,” says Bolton. “Overall, it was so apologetic for the actions of prior administrations, in an effort to distance Obama from them, that it became yet another symbol of American weakness in the wake of the president’s decision to abandon missile sites in Poland and the Czech Republic, and his recent manifest hesitation over what to do in Afghanistan.”

“The most significant point of the speech was how the president put Israel on the chopping block in a variety of references, from calling Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegitimate to talking about ending ‘the occupation that began in 1967.’ That implies that he supports going back to 1967 borders,” says Bolton. “Obama has a very tough road ahead. He is frequently taking the side of the Palestinians, who don’t have a competent leader who can make hard decisions and compromises in the future.”

The Far Left Agenda as it applies to US Foreign Policy...

America and now the world, has been made aware of the far left agenda of the Obama Administration.

Cancelling defensive missile systems in Eastern Europe will leave Poland and the Czech Republic without the protection of NATO boots on the ground and leave them open to Russian threats and pressures.

Placing Israel in the indefensible positions before the 1967 War, is basically abandoning the Israeli's to Arab attack.

Even as Climate Change Scientist's challenge the Global Warming Hysteria, Obama vows to go ahead with Environmental programs that will halt American growth and prosperity.

You will have to define, "A Post American Speech by a Post American President", for yourself.

Iranian protestors outside the United Nations in New York were chanting: "He's not my President!", in reference to the Iranian President Ahmadinejad.

Works for me.

The above is a Washington Times editorial describing Obama's foreign policy as, 'the worst ever', and listing the reasons.

Yes, Bolton is a former UN Ambassador from the Bush Administration who was not confirmed by the Senate.

Expecting such criticism, I added the Washington Post Editorial as a second opinion on Obama's speech and the consequences.

Perhaps you could address the subject and not shoot the messenger?

The mainstream media is not a good source of true information.

I did read the headline of the link you posted.

I purposely avoided such conservative sources as The New Republic, Heritage Foundation and the Drudge Report to avoid being criticized for providing commentary from a single source and now you complain about mainstream media?

How doth one pleaseth thee, fair one?

I'm shocked...

... that I found something to agree with Bolton on. The Palestinians do lack a strong leader who can make compromises that stick.

Bolton is still an idiot.

P.S. The Washington Times was founded by Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon and is subsidized by the Unification Church community. The Washington Post is the legitimate news organization. Easy mistake to make, I know.

Every time you engage these morons in a civil discussion they first want you to stipulate that you bugger deaf, dumb, and blind boys; then they insist you stipulate that George Bush is the Great Satan; then they discount every source of information they disagree with. This is their game.

Obama is and always was messenger boy for the Left. Obama gets his opinions and orders from George Soros. George is the Left's Warren Buffet.

The G20 is almost laughable. This is my rundown-

1. The Russians lied about joining the Iran Embargo to look good to the press. They will only give lip service to the actual embargo, then deny they ever promised to join it.
2. The Iranian's tirad about God knows what was, if nothing else, entertaining. It, however, had no substance and quickly degenerated in to finger pointing and nothing more than a characture of a really bad sitcom.
3. The Lybian truely showed how totally confused and drugged out he is. What the fuck was he talking about anyway. I couldn't make heads or tails of it.
4. Obama joined in finger pointing at everyone else to cover his failed energy policies. Aren't you so glad we are green now? We aren't? Damn those Chinese!
5. The only country with any balls were the Canadians who walked out muttering, "Bullshit! Bullshit!"

What a joke.

YOU LIE!!!

It gets even worse, folks...Obama has declared an unilateral destruction of all Nuclear Weapons in the United States. Further, the first American President to Chair the Security Council, he took Iran off the agenda and ignored nuclear proliferation as an agenda item.

Not that Iran or North Korea give a damn, the UN is what it has always been, a paper tiger and a platform for a one world government...and we pay 5 billion dollars a year, 22% of the costs of that organization.

If you thought Obama's domestic policies were bad, his foreign policy is worse and dangerous on a global scale.

Bad things in the wind...

There's an anecdote to the effect that Josef Stalin was once informed that the Pope had condemned something or another that Stalin had done, to which Stalin replied "How many armies does the Pope have?"

The UN (otherwise known as the Hudson River Debating Society) is in the same position as the Pope when it comes to world affairs. Meaningless speeches and pronouncements that do nothing and have no power behind them.

The Big O was in his element...making speeches larded with ambiguties and vague promises...and basking in the limelight with the world's representatives hanging on his every word. Heady wine for a former low level Chicago community organizer/politician.

John Bolton compared the POTUS to Woodrow Wilson...I thought the selfsame thing when I saw the news about Himself's UN speech. The only difference between the former League of Nations and the UN is that now were bankrolling that Tombstone on the Hudson and getting dissed as a thank you by a bunch of petty dictators worldwide and royal families in North Africa.

Like it or not, when it comes to foreign policy, Obama's a little fish in a shark tank and doesn't even realize it. ;)

The real Orator who spoke at the current UN Session is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Have you no Shame?" an emphatic pause, "Have you no Decency?"

This was addressed to the UN Assembly in general for listening to the Iranian President when he spoke of the Holocaust and eradicating the State of Israel.

This is a man who knows of what he speaks and speaks of what he knows. No flamboyant gestures, no vague, ambiguous generalities with no meaning, but a true speaker that spoke from his heart and his mind.

It was an honor to watch and listen.

I am watching Gadhafi's speech on CNN as i write.

Since he started talking i couldn't help asking myself if the translation is deliberately made look bad or it's just something that happened.

The guy that translates talks like a retard ( without trying to insult everyone) , repeating words just after he says one words, he repeats it about 3 times. ( how can ; how can ;how can or assembly ; assembly or the same ; the same; the same - this happened just as i wrote) .

Listening to that translation and watching Gadhafi you are left the impression that he is a senile old man gone mad, without the possibility to express himself.
And those leaders in there that are listening to te speech at that meeting are most probably listening the same retarded translation and looking at Gadhafi....

Is there a better example of induced opions?

Besides, from the begining of the speech i watched Gadhafi's mouth moving, it appeared like he was saying 3 words , but the translator said 10.

From the entire speech , only a couple of phrases were understandable and made sense , anything else seemed like a speech made by a mental institution pacient who believes to be Napoleon

The translation is most probably provided by the hosts , i don't think that any leader over there brought their own tanslator.
If that's the case, how is that coming from the americans?....

Anyone else saw the speech ?
