Hi,

I am a 19 year old ameteur author (and speller.. Ameteur.. ugh its late xD) who has writted about 8 stories which are available on a different site.

However, they are furry stories. Now before I get the furfag spam ect, I just want to say there is a looong story behind why, so don't hate. But I was wondering if Literotica had any rules or procedures for furry stories as I would like to start writing human stories here but wanted to throw my old stories down to build up a little reputation.

I most popular stories are incestous and are currently at several thousand views a peice.

I could change all the furry stuff to human, but i'd rather not. Any advice would be appreciated, if you want to read my stories, PM me and i'll send a link (wont link here advertisement is wrong ect bla bla bla)

Regards, Cyrona

I doubt lit has any particular rule or procedure regarding fury porn, but there are both nonhuman and incest categories. Just choose where they would work best I guess. Also put a little author's note at the top telling your readers what they're in for, it will reduce your negative feedback.

It depends on what you mean by "furry." If you are referring to people and animals, such as a dog fucking a woman, this is absolutely forbidden. :( However, mythical beasts, such as werewolves and unicorns are alright. Just be sure you emphasize the supernatural or mythical character of the non-human.

If you are referring to people wearing animal costumes and having sex, that is okay. They would probably fit best in the Fetish category. :)

They are humanoids. I.e. cats standing upright, looking like humans but with ears, tails, furs, muzzles ect.

No beastiality though xD

You'd probably be okay in Nonhuman, or even Scifi/Fantasy if there is that element. Humans and werewolves can have sex on Lit, but humans and wolves can not.

One of my recurring characters is a feline humanoid who has sex with Human women (actually with two women in a menage a trois). The stories are posted in Sci-Fi/Fantasy category.

Welcome to Lit and the AH. :D

Hmm, if I posted them in Taboo and put in the title that they were Furry?

They would probably still be posted in Non-human or Sci Fi, if they were aliens from outer space. Incest/Taboo is meant for sex between relatives or between people such as teachers and students or priests and parishoners.

I would think your stories would best fit in the Non-Human category. You could explain your characters with an introduction.

Most folks go to Incest/Taboo for incest stories and they may not do well in terms of scores there.

I think you all misunderstood, the stories I want to put up ARE ncestous xD

Cy

Incest between catlike humanoids would still fall in Non-Human. The Incest/Taboo category's for human incest. You could post your stories there, but the scores would be abysmal. ;)

Exactly. Incest often trumps other categories, but the fact that your furries are incestuous is trumped by the fact that they're furries. I hope that makes sense.

Besides, while the Nonhuman category may not get as many readers as Incest/Taboo, the readers there are a bit more discerning and more likely to understand what furries are without too much background.

I have to agree with TE and slyc. Incest is normally a trump card, but fantastic elements such as non-human or magic double-trump it. The only real decision is whether it fits better in Non-Human or Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

The readers in those two cats are more used to a wide range of couplings and situations, since they're sort of a catch-all.

Readers in the other categories simply expect stories about humans in our world, and your scores will suffer horribly for it if you put them there ( not to mention that you'll probably get some of the nastiest comments that you never could have dreamed of )

A quick introduction at the beginning that it is a furry story, and has incest would be wise. That will keep readers from getting part way through the story, encountering that, and then going YIKES! Some will just back-click as if demons are at their heels, but some will leave low scores for springing something that they didn't like on them.

The readers in those cats also tend to pay more attention to and appreciate content warnings, since there can be so many different things lumped into the category. I've posted step/half sibling stories, gay male scenes, and horror all in those categories, with nary a "sicko/fag!" comment, but several comments thanking me for the warning. Those who could handle it read on, and those who couldn't left without feeling tricked.

There will always be some that low-vote for the content despite the warning, but far more seem to heed them, in my experience.

What few furry authors that I've seen on Lit also tend to utilize the Non-Human category as home, so the established readership probably looks there first, anyway.

You also have to remember that authors DO NOT select the category. We make a suggestion, and it is usually followed, but not always. I have probably had a dozen stories posted in a category other than what I suggested. Some of those times it was rather irritating and I even complained.

Some good comments here, as usual.

Don't be too disappointed if you don't get a lot of votes/feedback for your furry stories. I don't think there's too much of a market for them amongst the average Lit reader.

I disagree, The Sexual RolePlaying section has lots of Furry stories on it. This tells they are allowed on Lit (to answer that question) and popular, at least among a certain fanbase. I'd put that kind of stories in Non-Human and maybe give a short introduction in Italics about it being a furry story before the start. This way most likely only fans will read it, which should result in good votes.

Welcome to the AH! :rose:

You will also notice that no one here has bashed you for being into furries. ;)

Good point. Nice community =)

I'm still debating re-writing the whole thing without the furry bits just taking those elements out but don't know how it would turn out in the end

Black Shanglan wrote a story on Lit called Meer Kass. I suppose it's a furry story, it is also one of the best two or three short stories I have ever read on Lit . If you can emulate 10% of it you will be a great success.:)
