If you want to look at it that way, then yes of course subs are getting something out of the relationship. However I was referring to the substance of the relationship. The dom says what he wants when he wants. The sub obeys, whether she likes what is being done or not. Does she enjoy obeying? Yes otherwise she wouldn't be a willing sub.
