Let's talk about fascism

awwwww.. and I never thought you would cut and paste!

bad girlie!

Specifically, what is your objection? I quote where necessary. You think I cut and pasted the entire post? LT found out the hard way -- I don't do that.

my objection is with all C&P when it's not credited, linked or referenced. it's plagiarism. and you didn't use quotes either.

But in any event, that comment earns you a "Karen's 100% right!"

Note the admonition in that regard.

Got anything else, or are you too lazy to read what I posted?

stupid rules from someone who has tried passing other's thought off as her own.

I read and I've seen it before. it's the usual crap you get from people trying to discredit socialism by likening it to fascism. and quoting inter-war people who also didn't get the difference between the two doesn't make your argument any stronger.

Specifically, what are you talking about?

plagiarism is where you take chunks of text and intersperse it within your own writing without using quotation marks and a reference. you know the bits you C&Ped so you know what I'm talking about and as you are a graduate I would assume they taught you how to reference at uni.

The most important difference between Nazism and Italian Fascism on one hand, and the democratic left and the nondemocratic left on the other is that when the Nazis and Fascists came to power nearly everyone who had been rich before the takeover remained rich afterward. The only exceptions were rich Jews, and the small majority of rich gentiles who opposed Hitler and Mussolini.

When the democratic left is voted into power rich people pay much higher taxes. Their private property rights are curtailed. When the nondemocratic left seizes power the rich lose everything but their lives. Sometimes they lose those too.

That does nothing to refute the obvious fact that fascism is a sect, sub-cult, section, branch, etc. of socialism. National Socialism is a socialist movement for the reasons I discussed before. Telling us that the rich got richer someplace does not change those facts. You refute nothing. Try again.

Long copy and paste jobs are tedious. Anyone can find commentary on the internet that articulates values one shares. The only legitimate purpose of a link to the internet is to substantiate a fact one uses in an argument one composes oneself.

It is not an obvious fact at all. You are repeating the argument I refuted.

Also, where did the person who wrote the long blast of right wing hot air that you copied and pasted get his quote from George Orwell? What do you think of my quote from Mein Kampf about Hitler's opinion of the Social Democrat Party? I back up my assertions with facts that I document. You repeat cliches.

You are full of shit.

What did I C+P? ... and don't show me some snippet of four words that you found someplace. You are exactly the example of a failed education. You cannot discuss something without discussing the author. Someone says, "Obama doesn't know how to board-dive." You say, "Well, the guy who said that has a gardener whose cousin's neighbor didn't pay to have their dog licensed last year."

Loser.

I won't ask you again.

Put up or shut up!

You are incorrectly claiming to have refuted something that you failed to refute.

Unlike wine, age does not better a false claim.

I only googled two chunks that stood out. a lot more than four words.

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=...esult&ct=result&resnum=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

now, either use refs or shut the fuck up.

I don't see nearly as many people misusing the word communism as I do fascism and socialism.. Because the elite branch of the right wants to re-write history and change the use of the words to confuse people so that they can paint liberals and obama as the purveyors of all that is evil in the world.

And there we have it folks, today's lunatic conspiracy theory.

Oooops.

Iggy for the Piggy (again).

Fuck off.

Bye.

I know, let's incorrectly define terms so we can identify everything we don't like as fascist and everyone who doesn't agree with us as a Nazi.

Oh, and when someone takes the time to try to educate us, ignore what they write, just say they stole it.

Yeah.

What a wonderful thread.

Do more just like it!

oh forgive us poor ignorant peasants for not wholeheartedly swallowing your regurgitated drivel!

The funny part, of course, is that these left wing wingers never seem to be able to focus on the argument. All they can do is attack the person who presents an argument with which they disagree but are ill equipped to explain why.

They really ought not let them vote.

Why? Because when they do, Obama is what we get!

Remember: Hitler as voted into office.

(Hitler was a BAD socialist, for those of you who need to know the details).

I tied in my own opinion in the original post

Gee, ya think?

(That's a rhetorical question, actually.)

If you'd left the first post with just the definition and the checklist but not your "stages", you were worried that Team Obama would fit a bit too well (denoted by X's):

"The primacy of the group, toward which one has duties superior to every right, whether universal or individual. [X] Yes We Can!

2. The belief that one's group is a victim, a sentiment which justifies any action against the groups enemies, internal as well as external. [X] Bush is Evil!

3. Dread of the group's decadence under the corrosive effect of individualism and cosmopolitan liberalism. [half-X] Un-Americans!

4. Closer integration of the community within a brotherhood (fascio) whose unity and purity are forged by common conviction, if possible, or by exclusionary violence if necessary. [X] Acorn :)

5. An enhanced sense of identity and belonging, in which the grandeur of the group reinforces individual self-esteem. [X] "People of Berlin - people of the world - this is our moment. This is our time. "

6. Authority of natural leaders (always male) throughout the society, culminating in a national chieftain who alone is capable of incarnating the groups destiny. [X] The One!

7. The beauty of violence and of will, when they are devoted to the group's success in a Darwinian struggle [X] "We have real enemies in the world. These enemies must be found. They must be pursued and they must be defeated. " "

(Acually these don't make much sense, but you posted them, not me.)
