Scruffy usually doesn't look good to me, but on you, its looks like it'd be worth the fuzzburn.

And ages? Bah, I laugh at ages. Just another number that really only means what you let it mean.

I took off early from work to go to my docs appointment today. It took forever, my appointment was at 2pm and I didn't see the doctor until 4:30. So I go over the symptoms I've been having and mentioned that I haven't had a liver screening since I got out of the hospital back in the beginning of March. So she has me run and give blood as the lab is about to quit taking in stuff for labwork. So they draw blood and I go finish up my appointment, get some pain meds for my slipped disc and renew my thyroid meds. Then I go home. I drop off my stuff from work, hit the pharmacy to drop off my order then go rent a movie. Then I go spend some time at a buddies but have to run home to meet someone.

The phone rings and it's my doctors office, I'm thinking they gave me too many oxycodones for the back pain... I answer it and it's the doctors assistant, she says that my blood ammonia levels are high. The symptoms I've been getting checked out are bipolar, schizophrenic like stuff, loss of memory, odd behaviour, etc... Anyway she says that they are calling in a prescription for this stuff to remove excess ammonia. I tell her that I work all weekend and it's before the pharmacy opens and after it closes so I'll go down on Monday and pick it up. She has me hang on and I can hear her talking to my doctor. Doc gets on and tells me that it can't wait till Monday and that I need to start this medication immediately.

It turns out that I have an ammonia level that would be fatal if it happened all at once instead of over several months. So she asks which pharmacy and I tell her to use the same one as earlier because they are open till 9. It's 8:40 but the pharmacy is two blocks away from home. I head down and talk to the pharmacist, no order ever came in. I tell her what's going on, we call the doc but only get the answering service. She calls the other nearby pharmacies but none of them got the order by mistake. So I call in to work and am taking the first half of the day off to get this stuff in the morning.

It's late, I'm going to bed. It's been a stressful day.

I just wanted to leave a comment regarding your picture.

You look absolutely fantastic. I don't care about your age and neither should you.

I hope the medication finds its way to you and you start to feel better soon.

I would let the doctor know that you are most definitely *not* pleased that the order didn't get in to the pharmacy, especially when she's the one who says starting the med "can't wait."

Why the hell are they not admitting you?

I hate the hospital, don't get me wrong, but you should be passing out there, not at home.

I don't know if they suggested it, but I can guarantee if they did he said he wouldn't go.

I'm just real dizzy and can't seem to keep my eyes open. I'm on the medication but it'll take a while.

Gracie is right, I'm not going back to the hospital.
