No lame adding of other albums, tossers. It's a simple question of which of the two greatest albums of all time you prefer.

On the other hand, feel free to comment about the misspelling in the poll title

pet sounds, but barely. i have no real justification, but i just like it more and, honestly, i listen to it a helluvalot more. i don't know that it's really better, but i love it.

Me too -- even though Sgt pepper probably influenced me a lot more, being part of the UK psychedelic movement, which I was part of (a very freaky-looking hippy child).

Pet sounds is just so much richer and more emotional and hair-standing-on-end-er.

truth. all of it. that album has actually made me quite sad at times when i listened to it in the wrong mood.

Lennon actually saw "Pet Sounds" as being serious competition.

And vice versa of course. Wilson is on record as saying that "Rubber Soul" raised the bar and was a big stimulus for him to make Pet Sounds

You haven't posted my (and Paul McCartney's?) favourite - you still believe in me

Oh shit i forgot about that -- I saw him singing that at a Pet Sounds concert in 2002 in London. The sight of the poor old brain-fried genius singing it, with the crowd going wild like they were trying to say "we're sorry we didn't get you back then"

you mother fucker. i hate you now. biggest band/artist i actually liked that i've ever seen live is ween.

I've always found the Beatles and The Beach Boys completely different in style, though was always a fan of both. Depending on my mood, I couldn't be forced to make a decision...

I'm going with Sgt. Pepper though...

I've seen The Beach Boys at least 4 times in concert and there's no denying the happy feeling I get from "Wouldn't it Be Nice".

Beach Boys spoke to my fluff side. Beatles spoke to my deeper soul...
