This will be to provide updates, story ideas and hopefully comments/compliments/criticism about my stories.

I've given up editing duties on "White Slavery on the Dark Continent", but I continue to update it occasionally.

I'm working on a new story now called White Hills Thrills about a inner city boy making a new life in the suburbs. Have a look, I have some big ideas and I'd love some feedback.

This is a story I've taken over editing... the story is a little hit and miss but always open for improvement! *nudge nudge*

My most recent thread has a new bride appear in the bar looking for help. It's transparently inspired by "Braut in schwarzen Händen", a great German language story by MACC. Read it if you can!

I'd love some help with this new story, about two young women who open a detective agency in a rough city. They are in way over their heads, but I'd like to think pure luck and the kindness of strangers keep them sort of successful, skirting just above disaster...

I haven't contributed much lately, focusing instead on some potential stories for Literotica that continue to grow and morph as they develop. I've recently been adding to Bishop to Queen's Porn, which is a cool story I took over where each thread represents a chesspiece moved. The original threads were very literal (chesspieces having sex on a board), and I've developed a 'reboot' in which the moves are metaphoric to a chess match played between gods. I've received some very positive, very encouraging feedback (thank you!) but at this point no new threads.

Please come check this story out, and add to either AaronWebster's original or my reboot.

1. What do you think about my starting a new storyline with the same move as one of the ones you used? As in a 7th thread off your reboot with the same move? I think you've already taken a lot of the best openings.

2. What's with the no sex? You must have written like 100 threads by now, but you still haven't lost a piece!

1. I don't see any harm in that.
2. I have a couple of threads near take position, so that may change. I've also been trying to set up multiple 'entrances' for others to contribute as opposed to playing out long strings.

As you've noticed, I worked throughout June to keep the story on the 'fresh' pages, with about 90 threads added and 2700 views (good enough for a #8 finish), but no contributions. Sigh. It's been alot of work, so I was planning on putting it in the cooler for awhile (and since I go looong stretches with no chyoo contributions, who can say when the mood will strike again).

So by all means, I'd love some contributions because I'm burned out of doing it alone. And thanks for writing, because I was feeling like I was barking up the wrong tree on this one.

On further reflection, I would prefer if move options are not duplicated unless necessary. I agree that I've taken many of the common openings, but if you wish to ascribe a new personality to a piece you have two options:
1. You can ascribe a new personality to a piece at any time in a thread if it hasn't previously moved.
2. Each piece that I've initiated has another option to open with (i.e. pawn to move one space instead of two).

By way of example, if you want to open with the king's pawn but don't care for the story of Ashley and the bachelorette party you can post off of any part of the story where the king's pawn remains at e2, and write your own tale of the American pawn. Ideally, the piece will mesh with the greater narrative taking place in that particular thread so that the pieces can eventually interact, ahem, physically. The other option is to open with e2>e3, which is up for grabs.

I won't forbid duplication, but if you have an idea you want to discuss before you contribute a thread, go ahead and post it or IM me through chyoo; maybe I can suggest somewhere it would fit well. At the end of the day, in the event of a duplication, I'd probably IM the author and suggest the available opening, but I will not veto on the basis of duplication, and will not change any legal move without the permission of the author (as it says in the guidelines set out by the original author, the editor reserves the right to edit threads to make moves legal).

Hmm. I definitely see why you wouldn't want options duplicated. The thing is, I had gotten excited about creating a distinct story in which these pieces move--I'm mostly running with your idea but with a couple of tweaks of my own that are best suited to starting a new story.

It's funny that you mention Ashley's story, that's the one I like best and that first got me thinking about contributing. Now it's exactly the opening move I want to duplicate.

Shifting the opening move is complicated because I've actually sketched out my story about 15 moves ahead (cheating, maybe, but I figured it would lead to a better story). I want to move the king's pawn to e4 because I want it/her to get taken by the Knight a few moves in, and I want the Knight to take the pawn at e4 because I want him taken by the king's bishop a few moves after that. (Not to give too much away or anything)

I just wrote a long opening thread (subsequent threads will generally be shorter)--how about I post that and you see what you think? I'm open to redoing the moves if you really want me to, you're the editor. I'm just excited about the story I have and would prefer to keep it if possible.

I just realized I can double both moves to avoid the duplication (as in, king's pawn to e3, then black king's pawn to e7, then move both pawns forward one on the next turn). That gets them where I want them for the subsequent moves. It's probably a little silly from a chess perspective and it starts my story a bit slower, but otherwise it's a good solution. Would you prefer that?

Yes, that was the thrust of my suggestion. Thing is, you've obviously put alot of careful consideration into what you are doing, and an editor couldn't ask for anything more, so I'll approve whatever legal moves you send in. Thanks!

Oh man, sorry to be so slow on the uptake. Glad you liked the thread though!

I'm definitely interested in input from you or from any other author, in the form of feedback or continuations of the story. I'll also move forward with my own story, while trying to keep it as open as possible to go in other directions.

Thought I promote my newest story: Bria J Exposed! This is the story of a young beauty queen drawn to fame (and with a flair for exhibitionism), currently taking two main branches: stories from her life under "Bria reflects on the life she left in Minnesota", and what happens to Bria when she moves to Hollywood in her search for fame. I'd appreciate more threads along the lines of The Bully's capable submissions.

Finally, I'm coming up here on my 500th thread and I'm offering it to a story of your choice in exchange for the best addition I get to "Bria" between now and thread #499.

Hmm... not much interest generated, other than ongoing excellent and always appreciated contributions from The Bully, who has added threads about Bria's private dance lesson with her teacher and Bria's planned visit to her stepfather's car dealership. I've just added a steamy hottub encounter with a couple of thugs (that could get a whole lot steamier!) as thread #494, so post to my story for thread #500!
