Wait, whaaaaaaaat????

Celebrating the 4th of July...in London?
LONDON — There are few better places to celebrate the United States and its Independence Day than London.

Whether you prefer sipping bubbly at the wood-paneled home of America's brainiest founding father, Ben Franklin, or downing an ale on the jetty where the Mayflower set off for Massachusetts, the British capital is packed with options for a patriotic week away.

"It is surprising - it's shocking - how much there really is here," said Delaina Stone, the secretary of the American Society in London.

Much, much more at the original FoxNews article linked in the headline above.

That's a very nice article. And quite a nice thing that British people don't seem to hold a grudge.

And after all, when you think about it, aren't we really the child that left home and made good? Proud parents with great genes, it seems.

But no matter how old you are, there are times when even proud parents look at their kids and say "WTF are they doing THAT for?!"

Thats ok then.

For a minute I thought the US were all coffee, beer, coffee, coffee, beer and coffee.

Tea, now tea is perfection ;)
Wait! Where's the Diet Mountain Dew????

<-- Doesn't drink coffee *or* tea - never learned to like their taste.

I'll forgive you... but only because you're cute and on the wrong side of the pond.

(Keroin, do NOT click these... they're just commercials!)

You may be old but I love how you like to keep on teaching

Thank you

*flutters eyelashes*

Now off to click on commercials and learn more of the American way :)

Thanks SW. Maybe we could give youtube links a rating system?

Rated L = Kind of lame, click only if you are extremely bored.
Rated I = Interesting, anyone with high speed internet should have a look
Rated A = This one is awesome. Not to be missed by anyone but Keroin!
Rated K = Keroin, it's worth the time and money. You will hate yourself forever if you don't watch this.

Thank you... you just gave me the best laugh of my day! I'll try to remember to rate any youtube links. But I have early-onset Old-timers (Alzheimer's), so....

I don't know...those links might be more interesting than some would think. I particularly liked the one that had the art covered bottles in it. The bottles themselves were cool, but the links to the artists and even some other artist sights were interesting.

One guy, who lives in Texas, does dust drawings on the back windows of cars. And he leaves them there to be washed off by the rain. Rain isn't always that often, in Texas, so sometimes the drawings last a while...sometimes only hours.

OK, maybe some won't think the art is cool, but I did. So, I don't know if I'd call the links L "lame" without any significant merit. Then, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.

That, and I like Mountain Dew!:D
